Author's Note: Hi again!!!!!!!! Uhm so I'm going to be marking this story as mature because of smoking, drinking, fighting, language, etc. (nothing weird or smut-related) - So don't be surprised if you see it marked as mature all of a sudden. Also, I felt the need to clarify something so I'm going to do that now so I don't forget,

Ages/Grades for each of the characters:
Mary Jane - 16, 3rd year (skipped a grade)
Thom - 17, 3rd year
Jonny - 16, 2nd year
Ed - 17, 3rd year
Colin - 17, 3rd year
Phil - 18, 3rd year (failed a grade 💔, no particular reason, I just wanted him to be older for accuracy but still in the same grade)

Also, MJ's music taste is based on mine (save for anything I like from the 90's+ due to that stuff not being made yet, since the fic is like late 80's)

AND..! I have this idea to do Radiohead oneshots (I've never done oneshots so don't expect them to be that great) but like based on certain songs/albums maybe?? idk please tell me if that sounds like something you'd wanna read.
!! If you have any other questions, pls lmk!

"There you are!" Ed chirped the moment I came into view. He seemed very happy to be in my presence, his demeanor changing completely once he saw me.
"How are you feeling? Jonny told me you weren't feeling well." He asks, eyebrows furrowed in concern. To my surprise, he places his hand on my shoulder, drawing me in like we're about to share a secret. I glance down at his hand, then back up to meet his eye, a soft smile creeping its way onto my face. Ed's affection only heightened my content mood.

"I'm feeling a lot better! How come you were so worried?" I laugh, causing Ed to grin too. He pulls me in for a moment, giving me a tight hug before releasing his grip.
"Everyone was worried, it's very unlike you to just disappear from class like that." He explains, returning his focus to the breakfast on his plate.

"Jon had also mentioned something about your father being here..?" Ed continues, speaking gingerly about the subject in case it's sensitive.
"Yeah. I'll tell you about it when everyone else gets here. Not really something I'd want to explain several times." I shrug, propping my chin up against my hand. The taller nods, thankfully understanding of my situation.

"I hoped the homework made up for my absence. I really wanted to come visit, but practice went so late and you know..." Ed trails off, looking horribly guilty. Considering Ed is prone to joking around, it feels out of place for him to look so sympathetic. It makes me feel even worse that I had him so worried.

"Please don't feel bad about it, I understand your situation, Eddie," I respond, returning his sympathetic smile.
"You did really well on the homework too! I mean, double checking your answers, how kind of you..." I continue, raising my eyebrows and elbowing his side gently as a form of encouragement. Ed rolls his eyes and smiles at me.

"You wouldn't believe it, I even asked the teacher for help." He admits, smirking as his usual state of smugness returns. I'm more than happy to see him feeling better again. The two of us continue to joke around, barely paying attention when the remaining boys take their seats around us.

"Looks like someone's feeling better!" Colin announces as he sits down, also sounding particularly chipper himself.
"Jonny was so worried last night... weren't you, Jon-Jon?" Coz adds, ruffling his brother's hair despite Jonny's pleas for him to cut it out. Once the older finally stops, Jonny fixes his hair quickly, returning it to just the right amount of messy.

"I'm glad you're doing better..." Jonny mutters nervously, keeping his deep brown eyes glued to the ground.
"Thank you for thinking of me, I appreciate it." I lean over and whisper, earning a little smile and nod from Jonny.
