After me and my dad talked some more, I felt our connection growing again. I missed it. I missed him.
"So your gonna work down here with me now?" I asked, I felt happy I'd be working with my dad. But now I was worried that he would see how Foxy acts with me... flirty... I think he does at least.
"Yeah, and I can teach you some things you dont know, I mean, I have worked as an engineer for 20 years." He smiled.
I smiled back, this was gonna be way new and different but I liked it. Im glad we found eachother again.
All of a sudden Mousey came out of nowhere, he was probably scared he whole time and hid. I giggled when he landed on my shoulder. "This is Mousey dad. I found him down here broken and fixed him."
He smiled, looking proud at me, "aww, he's cute." My dad said and scratched under his chin gentley.
"You fixed him all by yourself?" He asked a bit suprised as Mousey flew off my shoulder and landed on his lap.
"Yup, pretty hard. I didnt really know what I was doing but I was able to do it." I cheesed proudly.
"Im proud of you hun, I thought you only knew how to work on cars and motorcycles." He joked and laughed.
Then the door to parts and service opened, it was Foxy. Both our laughters stopped at the sudden interuption, a big smile crossing widley on my face.
"Foxy!" I smiled and got up, hugging him. "Hey there Lass" he said in a low and warm tone, embracing me back.
Letting go, he began, "Chica told me what was happenin', this yer dad?" He looked up over my head with a not so friendly look on.
I looked over at my dad, for some reason he looked a bit uneasy.
"Uh yeah, but don't worry Foxy," I started, putting my hands on his chest to stop him. Foxy's ears perking up and he looked down at where my hands were. Oops.
I put my hands back down to my side, "we talked and we're good now. He's gonna be working by my side as the other mechanic." I smiled at him.
"Hmmm." Foxy nodded, his voice a low growl almost. He didn't seem to be too fond of my dad, and my dad looked a bit terrified. Maybe he hasnt been around giant, hightech robots in a while.
I grabbed Foxys hand and led him over to my dad, my dad standing up and putting on a smile, the best he could.
"Foxy this is my dad, michael or mike, Dad, this is Foxy." I smiled, trying to introduce them.
My dad went and shook his hand which Foxy seemed a bit suprised by but shook it back. "Ah yes. Foxy. You look completley different now! I remember when I helped create the other versions of you." He exclaimed.
Im sure Foxy didn't really know what he was talking about though because he had a confused look on his face. My dad let go of his hand and laughed awkwardly, beginning to rub the back of his neck.
"Its a long story." I smiled at Foxy and put my hand on his forearm. He looked down at me and smiled, although I could tell he was still a bit off about my dad.
Im sure Foxy remembered the other versions of himself, but just not the mechanic that helped work on him.
"Anyways, what are you doing down here Foxy?" I asked.
"Ah right dear, its closing time." He flashed his famous grin with his shiny golden tooth.
"Already!?" How long have me and my dad been talking for? Damn...
"Oh... huh." I laughed and turned towards my dad. "Do you maybe wanna go meet the others before you leave?"
He nodded, agreeing to go meet the rest of my new friends. I suppose he was the new day engineer because he didnt work nights with me.
