The door's open, massacred books and clothes on the floor.
Who would dare to break into the prefect's dorm? Were they looking for something? Did they find it?
"What happened here?" She asked no one in particular.
Hermione looked around confused. Aside from a couple of harmed books, her things are untouched, however, Malfoy's things are all over the place. He rushed past her and went into his room.
She didn't have any idea what he was looking for so she went after him. The door had shut behind her and Draco turned, glaring at her. "This is all your fault."
"How is it my fault?" She asked looking around his room.
He sighed, sitting down on his bed, and ran his fingers through his hair, which only made it messier. His gaze was "I told you it's a trap."
"How is this possible? You can't enter here without a password. Unless it's someone who knows the password." She continued to look around for anything that could be a clue. A letter, parchment, or whatever else could lead them to whoever opened this door. Her eye caught the window. It was open a little bit, enough to see the grounds below. "Could they have entered through the window?" She said aloud, mostly to herself.
Malfoy laughed. He actually laughed as he put his hands on his face. "Get out." He demanded.
"You don't think-" She started.
"Out!" He yelled.
Hermione frowned, turning to look back at him. "We've got to tell Professor McGonagall. And we need to figure out why this happened."
"Fine! Just go! Get away from me already!"
"Malfoy-"
He cut her off again, "Leave or I swear to God I will curse you!" He spat out, venom dripping from every word.
She knew that tone. He was serious about it and that pissed her off. How dare he threaten her like that? "Why are you being so unreasonable about this?" She demanded.
His eyes narrowed. "Get out!" He growled, pushing her towards the door forcefully, causing her to stumble back. She fell against the door frame, barely making it in time. He slammed it closed behind her before locking the lock.
She stood there for a while, stunned at first, then angry at his behavior.
Why couldn't he trust her just a little bit?
Why does no one ever seem to trust her?
She let out a sigh and walked into her own, untouched room. It was early in the morning and the sunrise lightened up her room. She walked over to her window and closed the curtains,
blocking out the light. Her mind was racing with thoughts and emotions. She sat down on her bed, letting out another sigh.Everything sucks.
She should have listened to Ginny and not get involved in this. Maybe she was too damaged to help them.
Maybe she should quit and just stay in her room.
She laid down on her bed and pulled the covers over her. Her tear-stained eyes hurt and exhaustion was catching up on her. She closed her eyes hoping sleep might take over some of the aches and pains.

Gryffindor's common room was surprisingly quiet. Aside from some of her friends, not many students were there.
Hiding in their rooms, most likely. Those poor children.
"Mione?" Harry called from the other side of the room.
