When shogi turns out to be a love game

The beautiful ending

4 years after I had my first year of high school it happened. Akashi texted me to wait for him at the library suddenly around 3:00pm. He can be some what of a late planner at times. I reluctantly agreed and was sitting by the door of the library in rain for 30 minutes. I was about to leave when the door opened to reveal Akashi. I asked him questionably about me waiting for him. His response was, "oh I should have told u to wait inside, oops." I was about to hit him over the head but it wasn't needed. He finally took me by the hand and pulled me into the library. "Why are we here?" I asked with annoyance due to my soggy clothes. "We are just here to get books," Akashi said with a plain face. I just sighed as he led me to the old part of the library. We were looking through some books and I noticed this one book on the corner of the table. I picked it up and it had a sticky note on the cover that read, "open this book and you will have eternal peace." I thought it was some old hippy junk but I went ahead and opened it to the first page. There was a sticky note that read, "there is someone who loves you very much." I now thought I had a secret admirer so that made me excited as I flipped to the next page. There was a sticky note reading, "the one that loves you has token out of there pocket the eternal peace. Turn to the last page to learn who." I zipped through all the pages landing on the last page. "Now (m/n) turn around and u will find your eternal happiness." I was then disappointed that it didnt help me that much. I turned around to only be astonished to see what I see. There is Akashi, kneeling in front of me with a small black box. I feel the tears welling up in my eyes as Akashi says, "(m/n), these past 4 years I have spent with you are my most happiest of memories, but I have decided to not want those memories to go away. So I ask you with all of my pride, (m/n) would you marry me?" I feel the tears running down my face as I see the glittering ruby and diamond ring in the small box. I finally answer him and said, yes. He slips the ring gently onto my ring finger and kisses my cheek. Ever since that day Akashi and I will have the best of memories.
