<<Myung Jaehyun>>

"I might seem crazy, but there's a quiet kind of sense in the chaos of my mind."

"Are we clear Miss?" asked the guy standing infront of her with a stethoscope wrapped around his neck.

Hana nodded hesitantly, followed by him leaving her alone in the dark corridor.

Hana stepped forward. Each step she took felt heavy, her breathing wasn't stable. She felt nervous, honestly more than that.
It was her first day at the hospital, her 5th job this year to be exact. She didn't want to fail this time but she wasn't even sure if she was doing this right or not.

"Should I do this?" she questioned herself, standing infront of the small door that was locked from the outside.

For a second she wanted to run away from there but no she wasn't doing it this time. Mustering up her courage, she slowly unlocked the door.
A creak sound could be heard. She forced herself to enter the room and then locked it again afterwards.

Entering in, she wasn't able to see anyone at first glance. The white room with no furniture or anything was completely empty, making her dizzy already.
Mumbling words to herself, she turned on her heels thinking she entered the wrong room. Just when she was about to unlock the door again, she spotted a figure sitting in one of the corners. She flinched for a second, not expecting anyone in the room but regained her posture immediately, taking a deep breath.

She took steps towards the man sitting in the corner, trying to trace some kind of pattern on the empty white wall infront of him.

Hana cleared her throat to gain his attention but he didn't budge.

"Excuse me." she began trying to start a conversation.

No response was there from the other side. The man just sat there still without any movement.

"I'm here to help you Sir." she continued, contemplating if she should sit down on the cold floor beside him or not.

"Sir,"she said now sitting beside him.

"Can you speak up? Just a simple hello?" Hana didn't know why but his behavior was bothering her now.

"You can leave."
Hana wasn't expecting him to respond, she was surprised.

"I'm here to help sir." she somehow managed to speak again.

The man sitting beside her chuckled for a second before saying,
"Everyone does."

Chills ran down her spine at the sight of the man chuckling to himself.

"Can I know your name?" she was thankful she didn't stutter.

"Do I have a name?" he looked in her eyes as if demanding an answer.

"Everyone has a name Sir." Hana said, abit confidently this time.

"Tell me what's mine then?" he said, diverting his gaze to the same white wall again.

Hana unconsciously grabbed the file, that was in her hands a moment ago and started looking through it.

"Jaehyun, Myung Jaehyun." she finally found after going through the bundle of documents in her file.

She looked up expecting some reaction from the other person in the room but he just smiled, making her more nervous than she already was.

"You're like everyone else too." he said, still drawing those patterns on the wall.

"What do you mean?"
Hana was more curious than scared this time.

"All of you dumb people think I'm just insane and need therapy sessions or shock treatments to get myself back to normal right?" his questioning gaze averted in her direction again.

Hana just stayed silent, making him smile again.

"I consider silence a Yes, Miss."

"But I can help you." Hana tried not knowing what else to say at the moment.

"I don't need any help, specifically not from someone who's dumb enough to think a grown ass adult don't know their own name." he glared in her direction for a second and then looked away again.

Not knowing how to respond anymore, Hana just stayed silent.

"I hate humans in here Miss and I suppose you are one of them too so please leave before I lose my cool." he said looking everywhere but her.

"I can't."

"You can't survive in here for more than an hour Miss, please leave."

"What if I say I can?" Hana wasn't backing out this time.

Hearing this, he stopped doing whatever he was doing and shot a quick glance in her direction.

"You can?" Hana wasn't sure but she saw a sudden sparkle in his eyes, a ray of hope maybe.
She nodded.

In her 7 years of psychology journey, she saw thousands of mentally ill patients, those who weren't normal, even those who were more than just insane but it was her first time seeing someone kept in a place like this, talking this way.
Something in her wanted to know the depths of his words, to understand what he wanted to say, she wanted to help him somehow.

"Can we talk if I choose to stay?" confidence was building in her posture and voice without her even knowing.
Surprisingly enough, he nodded.

To be continued~
I'm gonna divide this one into 2 or maybe 3 parts.
