For those unaware, this story is being continued in my next book, "Subtlest Game", listed on my profile. Here's a preview!

Ceris looked down at the End. A smattering of yellowish rocks floating above the void. Her home.
They were high up, high enough to touch the wisps of purplish fog that passed for clouds. Ceris didn't recognise this particular part, but judging by the unusually small size of the islands, this was presumably –
'The Shattered Blade Islands.'
Arabella stared blankly over the side at Ceris's left.
'My childhood home. It was the only place I remembered well enough to transport us to.'
Arabella's expression was inscrutable. Here, she had lived, loved and grieved, felt happiness at its peak and despair at its deepest.
Ceris glanced away. She shared some of those memories with Arabella, Arabella having shared them, but she did not feel them so harshly. To hide her emotions, she looked down at the ground. A good thing she did, or else the fireball might have blasted them both to ash.
