Chapter 6

3rd person POV

The princess slowly opened her eyes and saw a girl, who's unfamiliar to her. "Who are you? Why am I here? Where am I" Soojin spoke with horror in her voice. She's obviously scared.

The girl looked in her direction and smiled warmly, somehow assuring Soojin that she's not a threat. "Oh, You're awake. Here. Drink some water" The girl said and gave her a bowl of water. "I'm Yunjin and you're the princess , right?"

Soojin nodded in response and grabbed the water from her hands and thanked her for the water and drank it. "Greetings, I'm princess Soojin, a pleasure to meet you. And I give you my gratitude for rescuing me from the thief" Soojin said formally and bowed to Yunjin.

Yunjin was taken aback by the sudden formality then laughed. "Should I introduce myself in a more formal way?" She joked and laughed. "Alright then. Greetings, Princess Soojin. I am Huh Yunjin from the mountains and may I ask who this thief you are talking about?" Yunjin said and giggled.

"You can talk to me informally, Huh Yunjin. You know? The thief? The girl with the hood?" Soojin describe.

Yunjin showed a confused face and tilted her head to the side. "Who-"

"Yunjin-ah, is the princess awake already?" A voice cut Yunjin off and came inside the hut and saw Soojin.

As the girl went inside the hut, it was as if time slowed down for the both of them as they made eye contact. Both women felt something that they couldn't explain, that they didn't want to break the contact. They stared at each other for a whole minute before Yunjin started talking again.

"Y/n unnie! Where have you been? Mama was looking for you. She's worried. You should talk to her" Yunjin nagged her.

Y/n only chuckled. "Sorry, Yunjin-ah. I looked for fruits and vegetables for us. Here. Bring this to the shed," She said and gave Yunjin a bag as Yunjin nodded and grabbed the bag and left the hut.

"Good morning, princess. Hope you had a nice sleep, because you're in my bed," Y/n spoke and rolled her eyes.

"You're the thief-" Soojin shouted but her mouth was quickly covered by Y/n soft hands.

"Lower down your voice," Y/n said sternly and gave her sharp eyes making Soojin quickly shut her mouth. "Yunjin might hear you"

"But it's true, you're a thief-" Y/n glared again.

"I said lower your voice." Y/n said and sighed. "Let me explain myself, princess" She spoke again.

"Get your hands off me first. You cannot touch a royalty, as you are not permitted to" Soojin spoke again and removed Y/n's hands on her mouth.

"Oh right. I apologize, your highness" Y/n bowed, which actually caught Soojin off guard. She didn't know a girl like her has class like that. "Let me clear up the misunderstanding, your highness" Y/n said, still bowing.

"Carry on"

Y/n lifted her head and looked at Soojin in the eyes again and sighed. "May I talk informally?" Soojin nodded.

"I'm not making an excuse for myself and for my actions and all these are true. You see, we clearly have nothing, if you look around the hut" Y/n spoke and laughed.

'She laughed but it sounded.. sad?' Soojin thought.

"The hut only has my bed right? And some things that are needed for hunting or for farming? But other than that nothing else" Y/n continued as Soojin also continued listening.
