Chapter 19

Geet's POV

After dinner we came back to our room..

I was sitting in the balcony with my laptop.. I was trying to focus on trying to find places like what Mr.Mehra said but my mind kept going back to morning when I blurted out Vishnu's name in front of Mr.Mehra..

It's been inside of me for so long that I felt it would burst out one day.. it still is only inside of me..

Maybe sharing it with him would help me feel better..

I had a feeling that maybe I could share this with him..

I went inside the room to see him busily typing something into his laptop..

I went near him.. just then my phone rang..

I looked at my phone and it was Vishnu..

I took a deep breath and picked it up "Hello Vishnu"

That caught Mr.Mehra's attention and he looked up at me..

"Geethu you guys still in the same hotel?"

"Yes"

"Tell me your room number"

Why is he asking for our room number.. Is he going to come here..

"Ummm.. it's 115.."

"Okay great I'm coming there..", he hung up the call..

Why is he even coming to our room..

Mr.Mehra looked at me "All Okay!?"

"Vishnu is coming to our room.."

"Ohhh.. anything urgent!?"

"I don't know.."

Just then we heard a knock on the door..

Mr.Mehra went to open the door and let Vishnu in..

"Hey Vishnu.."

"Hey Ajay.. where is Geethu?"

"She is inside.. come on in.."

He just came in and hugged me..

"Geethu you are going to be an aunt.. Amrutha is pregnant.. the doctor confirmed it.."

I froze for a moment..

Geethu pull yourself together!!

"I'm so happy Geethu.. you were the first person I remembered hearing this from Ammu that I came here running to inform you.."

It's a happy moment for him Geethanjali.. try to be happy for him!!!

You made a decision!!

You got married for a reason!!

Stay put on that reason!!

Be happy for him!!

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and opened my eyes..

Mr.Mehra was standing right opposite to me.. looking at my reaction..

I slowly patted Vishnu's back and backed off from the hug..

I tried to put up a genuine smile and congratulate him..

"I'm really happy for you Vishnu.. you are going to be a dad and Amrutha, a mom.. I'm becoming an aunt.. this is really great news Vishnu.. Mama and Mami will be very happy to know this news.. Congratulations Vishnu.."

He had a big smile plastered on his face.. which I don't think would be ready to leave anytime before the baby arrives..

Mr.Mehra came and stood next to me "Congratulations Vishnu.. and please convey to my wishes to Amrutha also.."
