Anne's POV:
I slowly open my eyes, the sun coming in from the window slightly blinding me. I notice Phillip isn't in our room, but I ignore it.
I look up at the ceiling, and I just take a moment to soak in everything good in my life. I have two beautiful daughters, an incredible job, and the best husband a girl could ever ask for. I think this might be the happiest I've ever felt on my birthday.
Suddenly, I hear the sounds of my two daughters giggling before my room.
"Happy birthday, mommy!" They exclaim.
"Thank you, girls."
I look up at Phillip, and I smile at him.
They all walk over to me, and Amelia and Isla immediately jump onto my bed before falling back asleep in between Phillip and I.
"Happy birthday." Phillip whispers to me, careful not to wake either of them up.
"Thanks. This is probably my favorite birthday ever."
"And why's that?"
"Because I have you, and our two girls with me."
Phillip smiles at me before giving me a kiss.
"So, what do you want to do today?" Phillip asks me.
"For now, just snuggle with you, Amelia, and Isla."
"Sounds good to me."
Phillip and I get closer to Amelia and Isla, and we both fall asleep with our daughters.
Phillip's POV
Today is Anne's birthday, and when she told me this was the best one yet, it made me so happy. I want to make it even better, so I'm going to bring her to the circus for a big party, our first one as a family of four!
"Phillip, today has already been so lovely. You don't have to do anything big." She told me.
Amelia was stumbling along beside me, holding my hand, while Anne held Isla. Anne held my other hand using her free arm.
"Just trust me. It'll be fun!"
I peeled back the curtains leading into the tent, allowing Anne and the kids in first,
'Happy birthday, Anne!" Everyone shouted, surprising Anne as they jumped out from behind pillars and curtains within the tent.
Amelia squealed in excitement, running over to see the Barnum girls, Caroline and Helen, who she adored. I was so glad they came to visit for this special day.
"Happy birthday, Anne. Come, I made a cake." Charity gently took Anne's arm pulling her away from me, and I quickly took Isla out of her arms so she could fully enjoy herself.
"How are you, Phillip?" P.T chuckled, approaching me. I gently bounced Isla in my arms to keep her from fussing as we spoke.
"I'm great. Anne is having a wonderful day, and she's happy, so I am too." I smiled.
"And how are these cuties doing?" He asked, letting Isla wrap her whole hand around his pointer finger.
"They're great. Sleeping well, and pretty well behaved, I should say." I said.
"I'm glad. Since you kind of had them back to back, sleep must've not been easy for quite a while."
"Yes, but they're worth it.'
"Agreed."
"Phillip! Come here, the food is amazing!" Anne exclaimed, waving me over.
"I'll see you in a bit." I chuckled, patting P.T's shoulder, and walking away to the most amazing wife I could ask for.
The party was wonderful, and I believed that absolutely nothing could ruin this day. And then it got interrupted.
"Excuse me?"
The music stopped.
"Can I help you? I'm afraid this is a closed event, we'll have more shows starting up soon."
"No, that's not what this is about." The girl chuckled. She looked weirdly familiar.
"Then...what is it?" I asked, trying to decipher the situation.
"I'm looking for a 'Phillip Carlyle'." Then I realized.
She looked familiar...because she looked like me.
"That would be me."
"Oh. Then I believe, I must be your sister."
