[I can't help but feel the fatigue creeping into my bones as I make my way through the complex web of social connections. My burden is not so much physical tiredness as it is the emotional toll of navigating a society full of false identities. It has become a tedious routine: the words that are dripping with insincerity, the grins that stop short of the eyes.
I find myself pining for real connections in a world where sincerity seems like a rare jewel. I'm fed up with the ceaseless twirl of polite social interactions and shallow dialogues. Everyone seems to be acting out a part that they have meticulously scripted to suit their own goals or those of society.
As I see friendships based on flimsy pretense and phony praise, my dissatisfaction mounts. Putting time and effort into a relationship just to find out later that it was all a mirage is depressing. The sincerity I long for is obscured by everything's superficiality.
I yearn for deeper-than-surface talks where people embrace vulnerability instead of fearing it. However, social constraints and the fear of being judged have made conversations a delicate dance of avoiding the truth. Sorting through the layers of pretense in an effort to find the genuine core that is elusive amidst a sea of masks is a laborious task.]
Wonu:
*sigh* It's so crowded yet so empty. I'm not impressed by people's two-faced appearances as other Alphas are, but I do find them to be quite amusing when they do. Why does everyone behave in this way? Is it really that hard to be kind and honest to everyone?
[He closed his eyes, inhaling the air while feeling the surrounding calmness.]
Wonu:
Please, moon goddess, grant me a mate who loves me, stays loyal to me, and stays honest with me. I want a partner who is kind and honest with everyone. I don't care about the world, but just that one person who is fated to be my mate, doesn't make him the two-faced person like all of them.
[He was sitting on the rooftop of a luxurious hotel in the city, admiring the sky while thinking about what he had just heard.]
Flashback:
Boy:
What a luxurious birthday party.
[A boy said, looking around with a smirk that was covered with disgust, but not for the party but for the person who was the center of attention of today's birthday party. He looked toward the birthday boy who was meeting guests with a smile. He looks in his direction and walks toward them.]
Wonu:
So, guys, are you having fun?
Boy 1:
Of course, Wonu, it's really the best part as always.
[The other boy speaks with a smile.]
Boy:
After all, it is Wonwoo's birthday. It has to be the best.
[The boy from before speaks with a fake smile covering his face.]
Wonu:
That's good. I have to go somewhere, so enjoy the party.
[Wonwoo leave, and their smile disappears when one of them speaks.]
Boy:
The fuck with the party. What is he proud of? He's just a spoiled brat. Born with a silver spoon in your mouth doesn't gonna make you a great Alpha.
Boy 1:
Who cares about whether he is good or not? He's fated to be the next Alpha. We need to stay on his good side.
