ARWEN DUNN AND LUKE HUGHES were on their way to the hughes household.

"it's two weeks-are you guys sure you want me to stay?" arwen asked her boyfriend who smiled her way. "you can't really back out now babe. we're five minutes away." luke told her and she frowned. "but then you go to edmonton-and you're leaving me with jack and quinn!" she complained.

luke shook his head at his girlfriends complaint. "they're not that bad." he told her and she frowned.

"well what if your mom changed her mind about me and suddenly hates me?" she said and luke laughed, "no way! once my mom likes one of the girls me or my brothers brings home she likes them for life." luke told her.

it made her nerves settle then worsen, "wait what if she never liked me?!" she asked worriedly.

luke shook his head turning onto the street his family home is on. christmas lights adorned every home making the street merry and bright.

the culdesac street had a blue-ish gray house at the end decorated with evergreen garland and white twinkling lights.

luke smiled at the work his parents had done, he turned his head slightly and saw arwen in complete awe of the suburban lake home.

"it's so pretty." she said as two people got out of a car that was already in the driveway. Luke quickly parked his car and the two got out.

"arwen?" quinn asked and she turned, her hands shook while a smile was in her face. "yes!" she said excitedly, the oldest hughes son just laughed and hugged the girl.

arwen was one for hugs, when anyone needed one she was there. which was helpful for when anyone needed to display their feelings.

luke held out his arms and arwen quickly filled them. their bodies pressed together as they clung onto each other. soon enough they were out of the hug and sorting out their belongings.

"i'm fucking cold!" jack yelled at the three who still stood outside, in his socks and sandals on the snowy front steps of the family home.

"shut up." arwen told him, "no! i'm cold!" jack announced. "what are we gonna do?! jackie is cold!" arwen asked sarcastically bouncing around on the snow.

"arwen stop jumping around you'll fall." luke told her and she stopped all together. "i don't want to fall." she told him, "mom and dad aren't even here yet!" jack complained as he welcomed himself into the cold house.

"who decorated the house then?" luke asked and quinn smiled proudly, "i did. moms probably gonna redo it." quinn mentioned.

"when did you get here?" jack asked his older brother, "like six thirty this morning, i told you i was taking the early flight." quinn reminded him.

"i like waking up early." arwen told quinn and luke groaned, "she texts me every morning at five am." luke complained.

"it's cause i know you'll wake up and answer me." she said and he smiled, "you're right-every single time." he told her and she smiled back at him.
