YOU MAY THINK THAT THIS STORY HAS A HAPPY ENDING

well may the strong wave of reality derail your train of thought.

arwen dunn barely allowed luke hughes back into her life. after he dropped her delicate glass heart, the blood red glass spread and turned into a wildfire of emotions.

if looks could kill, she would actively try to kill luke hughes. her glares would burn holes holes through him like bullet holes as he brought his new girlfriend to dinner with him to meet herself, quinn and jack.

she hoped this would turn into a scream movie so he'd get a call from someone then die unexpectedly. all of this was through her anger at a girl who spoke only kind things to her.

"luke says you're into music-and i have to, like absolutely have to say you're music is amazing!" she said.

arwen had forgotten the girls name already, "arwen, you're pale." jack noted putting the back of his hand to her forehead.

arwen shook her head. "no no, i'm fine-honestly." she said dismissing jack's observation kindly. the hand he used to feel for a fever fell to her thigh.

"thank you so much for saying that. i saw you in barbie right?" she said practically asking if she was right, "yeah! and i'm in outer banks!" now arwen remembered the girls name, dallas. dallas bridget.

she played the gorgeous role of sarah cameron, and another stereotypical barbie.

"i love both of those so much-you're honestly an amazing actress." arwen told dallas truthfully, she couldn't find a way to hate her.

except the fact that she's a much more fake blonde version of herself.

"so luke tells me you and quinn are dating." she said and luke looked at his hands.

she asked so innocently that she hadn't known it was a lie so she wouldn't get back together with luke, it was jacks doing.

"yeah-they're such a great couple." jack said patting his older brother on the back, "how on earth do you land your little brothers ex?" he asked and arwen shrank in her seat.

this had to be the most awkward dinner she's been to in a while. "dallas, do you mind helping me in the bathroom?" arwen asked and she nodded. "of course i'll help." dallas replied with a grin kissing luke's cheek and following arwen to the bathroom.

"what exactly have luke and jack told you about quinn and i?" arwen asked and pulled make up out of her bag.

dallas shrugged taking makeup and helping her apply it. "that luke cheated on you. he said you were always there and present, you made sure everyone was included." dallas said.

"they basically described the perfect girlfriend material." she said sadly, "i know i'll never be that to him." dallas admitted.

"he says that he didn't mean to cheat-he was drunk and the photo of them at dinner was him calling off their affair." dallas said, "and i know you'd rather hear it from him, but you look happy with quinn."
