Honcho POV:
2 months is how long it has been since the hunt for Valt started. There was a massive search for Valt's body all up and down the river but, no luck
"I am so sorry for all that we have put you through Mis. Aoi" I apologized "It's okay" she looked heartbroken and it hurt me to tell that we couldn't find her son's body. Kristina had offered to pay for his funeral, and Shu has not been the same since his death and that is exactly where I was going to next. I went to his house only to be told that he was at the crime scene. "Shu what are you doing?" I see Shu lined up with where Valt had been blasted off the building." Hey Honcho how fast would I need to run to compensate for a drop in height?" Shu said, still lining himself up. "No Shu, what are you doing?" I walked closer." Ok so hear me out if we jump into the river that Valt fell in we might be able to find his rough location." I truly felt bad for Shu. This is the way dealt with grief, but he didn't seem like he was in grief at all, but more determined to find Valt. "Honcho think about it nothing about his death makes sense he was blown off the building but, didn't land in the carnival so he would have had to land in the river but, we never found his body," Shu said, walking up to me. " His body could have gotten washed down the river. "Shu grabbed my hand and ran down to the river. " Feel the water there is no flowing water or at the least very little flowing water," Shu says determined to convince me of what happened. "The river current could have changed over the last two months." I respond, Shu rolls his eyes."Come on I know it's hard but he is dead" The comment bought me to tears as I grab Shu's hand and started to walk away."Wait no-look!!"I look up to see a glowing light coming from the middle of the river." What is that!?!?!" I yell "Let's Go!" Shu said rushing the light. "Shu hangs on !?" I pull out a note and stick it to one of the signs then run to the light with Shu only for both of us to be sucked into the light.
Shu POV:
We woke up on a beach somewhere."Honcho?" Looking around it looked like a cave. "Are you two ok?" A boy said. My eye exploded with tears."Valt!?!" I passed out shortly after."WHAT VALT!?!?" I yell as I emerged from my slumber." Calm down your wounds will open back up." There was a person that looked like a Baker who loomed over me. "Where's Valt?" I demand shooting pass his suggestion. "Please lay down you could hurt yourself more." The baker pleaded." Shu! Lay down !" I heard a second voice say. "Valt is fine and we need to be as well." The baker stepped to the side to reveal Honcho sitting on the chair across from me, I calmed myself, relaxing my muscles, and slowing my breathing. "Ok, I'll go get you two some food." The man walked into the kitchen leaving me and Honcho to contemplate our next move. The deadlock of silence fell like millions of tons of weight was put on my shoulders. The award silence was finally broken when the Baker walked back in." Here you are." He handed both of us a bread plate, and we expressed our thanks before eating. My mind was locked on one thing and one thing only 'Where they find him
Later that day
Shu Pov:
The man walked in with two cups of water. "I was able to get this from the town." The man said. I and Honcho were both visibly confused."You aren't from around here are you?" We both shake our heads no." This is healing water that can fix the rest of your wounds and finish healing then." We both were skeptical at first but we are inside of this man's house so if he wanted to do any harm to us he already would have. I drink some of the water and feel a cold feeling wash over me; The pain that I had before is now gone.
"Feel better?" The baker looked at us. "Yes, much better thank you." So within four hours of drinking the water, we were all good to go.
Free pov:
I called Shu and Rontaro several times. I know that they may be their way of dealing with grief but they could do the least to answer their phone to let us know that they are ok. I walked through the place of the festival simply wandering around finding a note by Rontaro. 'Call me the note said so I pulled out my phone and call his phone but, this time he picks up. "Hello?" a voice that I want to hear pick up."Rantaro!!!" I yell through the phone. The phone cut out and then came back "Sorry it cut ou-" the phone cut out again and then came back "Tell Kris that Valt is Ali-" the call cut out but, I was still able to get the message. "Wait he is? where is he? where are you? what happened??" But the call had completely cut out. I started sprinting as fast as possible back to Kris's office.
