Kiera POV

My head spun, frantic and disoriented, as Jackson's corpse advanced toward me, claiming me as his own. This couldn't be real. Fear gripped my heart, paralyzing me where I stood.

"Mine!" Jackson growled, his decaying hands reaching out to seize me.

"Never!" Chase roared in defiance. In an instant, he leapt in front of me, transforming into a massive black wolf. His eyes burned with fierce determination, his snarl echoing in the wind.

Jackson chuckled darkly, a sound that sent chills down my spine as his body mutated, becoming a grotesque zombie werewolf. He exuded a power far greater than anything I'd ever known.

Athena wanted to unleash herself, but we feared for our child. I wasn't too far along, but given my scarred womb that kept magically healing, we couldn't chance it.

The air crackled with tension as the two beasts faced off. Chase's fur bristled, and his claws dug into the ground, ready to pounce. Jackson's new form was hideous, his flesh rotting yet somehow stronger, more menacing. He seemed to draw strength from the very horror he embodied.

"Stay back!" Chase barked, his words resonating around us in an impossible way as he positioned himself protectively in front of me.

Jackson's eyes glowed with an unholy light. "She is mine by right, my wife, my mate," he hissed, his voice a raspy whisper of malice.

With a thunderous roar, the two collided, a whirlwind of fur, claws, and fangs. The battle was fierce, each strike resonating with the clash of supernatural forces. I stood frozen, helpless, watching as the man who had once been Jackson now fought with an unstoppable savagery.

Howls of pain and discord ensued around me. My pack arrived, ready to defend, but they had no idea what they were up against. Half of Katherine's army was undead, something none of us knew was possible.

"River and Drake should be close. We need to hold them back until the brothers can unite their powers," Elizabeth said, appearing at my side with a long spear tipped in silver.

"Their power is too strong," I mumbled in despair, my small hands gripping the weapon like it was merely a stick against a giant.

"Nothing is more powerful than my little girl," my dad's voice gave me a brief boost of confidence.

"I don't think that is true, but I won't watch them all die, either," I spoke confidently, glancing one last time at my mate fiercely attacking a creature we only imagined to exist in storybooks.

With newfound determination, I joined the fray, spear in hand. Elizabeth and I fought side by side, our synchronized movements a testament to our bond and devotion to our packs. Each undead opponent we faced seemed more formidable than the last, but we pressed on, driven by the desperate need to protect.

"Hold the line!" Becky shouted, her voice cutting through the chaos. "River and Drake are almost here!" Her words sent a wave of relief through me.

Just then, a deafening roar echoed through the battlefield. I turned to see a massive figure tearing through the undead ranks. It was Drake, his form radiating power as he cleared a path toward us. River wasn't far behind, his eyes glowing with the same intensity, ready to unleash their combined strength.

"Get ready!" Elizabeth urged, raising her spear. "We need to buy them time."

I nodded, steeling myself for the onslaught. The undead surged forward, but we held our ground, each of us fighting with everything we had. The air was thick with the stench of decay and the sound of clashing weapons. My muscles burned with exertion, but I refused to give in.

Finally, River and Drake reached the center of the battlefield. They clasped hands, their combined power surging like a wave of pure energy. The ground beneath us shook as their magic intertwined, unleashing a beast more powerful than I had ever seen.

Zeus emerged, a towering werewolf standing on two legs, an imposing eight feet tall. His nails were long and sharp like spears, and his teeth gleamed like razors. Drool hung from his snarling mouth, his growl reverberating through the air, a terrifying and formidable presence.

Jackson's eyes widened in rage and fear as he felt the shift in power. "No!" he bellowed, but it was too late. The brothers' united strength was overwhelming.

With a final, desperate howl, Jackson lunged at Chase, but Chase met him head-on, their clash resounding like thunder. The force of their impact sent shockwaves through the battlefield, and for a moment, everything seemed to hang in the balance.

Then, Zeus turned his head, grabbing Jackson's tiny skull in its grip. With a triumphant howl, Jackson's monstrous form began to disintegrate, his power unraveling under the pressure of his skull being crushed. Just as Jackson ceased to exist, Zues began wavering through the air, his body disappearing before our eyes.

Breathing heavily, I looked around at the remnants of the battlefield. My pack was battered but still victorious. Elizabeth stood beside me, her spear lowered, a triumphant smile on her face.

"We did it," she said, her voice filled with relief.

I nodded, feeling the weight of the battle lift slightly from my shoulders. The odds were in our favor. "They did it, but it's not over," I said, my voice ominous as I spotted Katherine in the distance, roaring in rage. Her hand still held the crystal that controlled Dietus, a power far greater than we knew how to stop.

"We need to end her once and for all," I vowed, my fist tightening at my side.

"Cherie, are you okay?" Chase was back in human form and at my side.

"No, we need to stop her." I looked to him, then to Drake and River.

"The crystal holds her power," River spoke as he approached me, his hand gently touching my cheek. "I missed you, princess."

"I missed you too," I said, tears welling in my eyes. My mates were home, and tonight, we would end this for good.

"Let's finish this!" Drake gave me a devious smile, stealing a quick kiss from my lips.

The brothers stood side by side, taking a knee in unison. They bowed their heads, and an intense power emanated from them.

"What are you doing?" I asked, curiosity mixing with urgency.

"They are unleashing Zeus on Katherine," Elizabeth said, her concern evident. "Be careful, he belongs to Dietus." I knew the brothers couldn't let Zeus stay free for too long, so we needed to end this quickly.

"No one who tries to harm our people survives," Elizabeth added, looking at me. I gripped my spear tighter.

"I'm with you on that," I replied, with Becky and Karen by our side. The brothers kneeled side by side, focusing all their energy on controlling a werewolf that belonged to a god.

We took our stance, ready for the final showdown.
