FALLING IN LOVE WITH anyone here was the least of my concerns, it didnt cross my mind a lot. i had my moments with a few guys, but i wouldnt think much of it. so when jackie straight up asked me, avery howard, if i liked isaac garcia, i was stunned to speak.
and before you say anything, i am not dumb or blind. obviously my friends and some of the walters would tease me about him because of our confusing ass friendship (?) they didnt understand why we didnt get along.
of course there would be the snarky comments or the sarcastic gestures, but i guess we just learned to accept the fact that i was practically gonna live there forever... i hope.
"you're seriously gonna ask me that?" i scoff.
"i mean yeah," jackie begins, "he clearly likes you and im just wondering if you like him the same way."
please. isaac liking me? like i said before, he was a flirt and everything he would say or do to me meant absolutely nothing.
plus he literally hated my guts since day one, obviously the hatred died down— a little bit— but sometimes it comes out here and there and i cant tell if he was being flirty or he actually despised me.
"he doesnt, jackie." i roll my eyes, "hes cute but thats it."
"cute, huh?" a smirk grew on my sister's face.
"yes," i confirm my answer.
"that's it?"
"yes." i say again.

but i knew deep down that there were more things i wanted to say, but i didnt want to admit them. if i said anything that i wanted to say, it would've definitely ruin what we had— if we even had anything.
he would probably break my heart into two and maybe laugh at my face and use it against me. that was the last thing i wanted. calling him cute didnt mean that i liked him.
