Part 2

Week 1 week 2 week 3. Day by day I went to interviews after interviews. But it was rejection after rejection. I was getting very exhausted about everything and so was my bank account. If my kind mother hadn't sent me an allowance last week, I would have been very behind with all my bills. It's embarrassing to receive an allowance at my 28 years of age! But my kind parents, although I never told them to, would always send me money. God. I would really like to stop being a burden to them. I just want them to enjoy their lives. I took out my phone and texted my mom.

Hamihamister:
Thanks mom.
You and dad always save my ass.
I love you both so much. But please
Take care of you both. Im really fine.

After sending the text through, I put it back and sighed in frustration. I couldn't help but cry. It was a reaction whenever I'm over stress and overwhelmed. I couldn't sleep well lately and everything was getting to me. After that weird dream, a series of nightmares followed. What happened in the past kept haunting me in my sleep.

I wiped my tears away and forced my self to stop crying. Seeing as the water bottle in my hand was empty, I threw it in the trash and walked away. I decided to stop over at the mart on my way home. I scanned aisles after aisles when I heard a loud scream followed by an angry voice.

"Get the fuck down! Get down or I will shoot you!"

My attention was drawn to the noise. I nervously crouch down and started to move where the noise was. In the counter a short man wearing black pants, shoes, and shirt with a mask was pointing his gun at the cashier.

"Get all money out! And all of you get your ass down!"

He screamed at the top of his lungs. I followed what he said. Until he pointed the gun at an old lady next to him who was holding a little child who was crying.

"Shut the kid up granny!"

"Shh baby. Shhh. It's ok granny will protect you. Shh" the old lady was comforting the child in her hands. However the child cried even more loudly.

The robber was very angry and kicked the child and the old woman.

And there. I think that did it. I snapped so bad I couldn't help it. I stood up and started walking where the whimpering old lady and child was. The robber noticed me approaching them and pointed the gun at me "stop! Get the fuck down!"

I stopped " you didn't have to kick them!" I angrily growled. I honestly do not know where I got the courage.

"Get down bitch or I will-!"

"what? Huh?! What?! Shoot me? Go ahead! You'd be doing me a favour! I at least do not have to pay my bills when I'm dead! But how about you huh? You'd be rotting in jail because of murder!"

The robber was obviously taken a back with my outburst "I-I said sit down bitch!"

"You call me a bitch. But you are worse than me you pig brain. The lady at the counter already pushed the emergency button and I'm sure the police are already on their way while you are wasting your time kicking innocent old lady. Your time in jail is knocking on you door bitch!" The robber's hand shook a little at what I said. He started looking at other directions. "Don't bother pig brain! The only exit is that door over there." As if on cue the police sirens were ringing everywhere.

The robber had a moment of panicked. He turned to look at me and pointed the gun ready to shoot "you bitch!"

He pulled the trigger and a loud bang was heard throughout the mart. I gasped and I stared straight ahead to where the robber was. I think I held on to my breath as I looked down at my self and back to the robber and back to my self again. When I confirmed that there was no hole anywhere and that I was alive, my shaky body looked straight ahead again. The robber who fired the gun was now lying on the floor groaning.

Like a scene from karate kid movie a man who was wearing an expensive suit came flying, out of nowhere and kicked the robber out. The man kicked the gun out of the way afterwards. His eyes landed on me as he straightened his suit before pinning the robber underneath him. It was him. The man with the green eyes. He was smiling the last time I saw him. But right now he was obviously angry. He looked up at the counter lady "get me a sturdy rope please" the counter lady nodded nervously and hurriedly went away to get the rope.

My body couldn't take it and flopped on the floor. I raised my shaky hands halfway and looked up again. His penetrating gaze never left me and it felt like it was burning my body. He was angry. Except I knew his anger was directed at me.Why? The robber wriggled beneath his feet and he gave him a big kick in the back without mercy. The robber groaned ever so loudly. Im pretty sure he broke a rib or two. He did all that without taking his angry eyes off of me. I couldn't help but look away. It was too intense!

The counter lady came back a moment later and handed him the rope. He averted his eyes finally and started tying the robber's hand and foot. The moment right after came like a hurricane.

The police came and they helped me got off the floor. They handed us water and talk to everyone one by one. They took note of ebery detail. After the interview, my eyes searched for the man. But he was gone. I took my bag and started walking away.

I hadn't gotten very far from where I was when a car stopped beside me. To my surprise the man came out and approached me with angry steps. I gasped surorised with his oresense. I held on to my breath as he came closer.

He was breathing heavily. With a growl he grasp my arm before angrily saying "what were you thinking!? You are not a super human! You shouldn't have done that!" I jumped at his voice and I started shaking "what if I wasn't there?! And that bullet went straight here?!" He asked pointing at my heart.

My eyes finally gave out and the water works came down one by one. With a shaky and quiet voice I whimpered like a child"w-why are you yelling at me..."

The man froze for moment. He loosened his grip and frustratingly brush his hair with a groan "Don't cry!" His angry voice onky made me cry more. Fuck crying. I was sobbing. I rubbed my eyes with my palm. The man sighed and I heard him opened the door to the car. "Get in" I put my hand down for a moment to see the door opened by the passenger side. I looked at him and to the car door before getting back to his gaze. I shake my head in refusal "I said get in!"

I knew he was a stranger. But he was scary ok. My body moved on its own. With hurried steps, I got on the car whilst crying non stop. Once I settled to my sit, the man slammed the door angrily. Once he got on, he helped me put my seat belt on and started driving.

I wasn't sure how long we drove. But inside the car he was silent. I on the otherhand was still sobbing. The man didn't talk and he focused driving whilst I sobbed my hearts away. It took me a while and I'm sure we have been driving for a good 1 hour before I stopped crying. I took a big breath before I look up at the person next to me. "Take me home..." I whispered.

His eyes landed on mine for a moment before he focused his attention back to the road. "Not yet"

"I said take me home" I annoyedly ordered.

"And I said not yet. I'm taking you to my house." He turned the car to the right and it lead us through bushes.

my eyes turned big from surprise "N-No! T-take me home!" I tugged on his arm.

The car swivelled a little and he stopped. His angry eyes then bore into mine again "behave your self!" He froze when he saw me jumped from his voice. He took a deep breath and his gaze softened"I promise I will take you home after we talk ok. Please."

"I-I don't know you!" I nervously answered.

He looked at me for a moment before bursting into laughter "calm down. I swear I'm not a killer if that's what you mean"

"I- I don't know that! T-that's what they all say!"

His laughter deepened with my answer. After he calm down he sighed and slowly put his hand on my cheeks. My heart was about to burst with all the sound it was making. We locked eyes and he smiled "I promise. I won't hurt you ok? Please trust me"

My mind wondered off to my dream I had just a few weeks ago 'I promise you I will be gentle and it will be good later.'

My face slowly turned to crimson red. I pushed his hand away. He looked at his hand and he snickered before starting the engine to continue driving.
