Jade had just left the burrow she apparated into the street where Percy's flat was—close to the ministry entrance of course—looking at the old letter he had wrote when moving in to find the address.Finding the right door she quickly unlocked it with a charm before climbing the stairs looking for the floor it was located on.the building wasn't complicated three flats to a floor with 7 floors. Percy's was on the fifth floor flat number fourteen.
The redhead took a deep breath before knocking on the door, it took a few seconds before Percy answered looking indifferently at her. "Took you long enough.."he said bitterly.
"I wanted to give you space, or time to cool off."she said simply not wanting around or cutting corners just the truth. His expression didn't change as he looked at her.
"You believe the truth though. He isn't back Jade."he deadpanned no emotion in his voice. His expression unreadable.
"All I know is in that maze, the cup was a portkey. He went somewhere and wasn't back when I was. where he went is a mystery to me."she answered and he didn't seem to like her answer.
"But you surely don't side with dumbledore" he asked fury flaring in his eyes.
"I don't know."
"And here I thought you were the only sensible one."and with his final sentence he slammed the door shut. Her eyes started burning tears threatened to fall as she banged on the door again. "Go home Jade!" He shouted from inside with no intention of answering.
"Percy please!"she shouted back the tears now falling.
"Go home."
She shook her head, he was stubborn she knew that he wasn't going to open the door. She wasn't quite sure what she felt; anger? Disappointment? Sadness?.
All she knew was that she needed an outlet as she walked down the concrete stairs every brick on the wall felt like it was watching her taunting her and suddenly the outlet appeared. Her fist connected with the wall 3 times leaving it bloody. "Fuck."she cursed looking at the burst skin around her knuckles. She now knew the feeling. Anger.
Striking the wall twice more didn't help and the pain got worse, deciding that punching the wall one more time wasn't going to help she left. And to her shock her father walked in the building. "He's not going to listen" she warned walking past him and disaparating back to the burrow.
"How'd it go?"Molly asked sadly from the living room as her daughter came back in, everyone was with her. "Shit."Jade shook her head rubbing her hand.
"You didn't like... beat him up?"Fred asked looking from her hand to her face.
"No... just the stairwell wall"she shrugged as her mother summoned some ice and handed it too her.
"He would've deserved it the pompous prick."George rolled his eyes sourly cracking his knuckles, "I mean I'll do it just give me the word mum—"
"Nobody is going to..."her voice broke as she started crying again. This mustn't of been the second time as her eyes were red and slightly puffy. She didn't finish her sentence as Jade and Ginny got up and hugged her.
"It's okay mum he'll come around" Ginny tried reassuring their mother even though she knew is probably wasn't true. "He's just being a bellend he'll get over himself and probably not apologise but he'll come around. It's a lot harder for people to admit they were wrong."
"I just can't believe the things he said about your father, and Harry."Molly trailed off and guilt came back in a sort of stabbing pain for Jade. He hadn't said anything about her but he had basically cursed every one else."I'll go back tomorrow before work, and if not I'll try at work. He can't avoid us forever"
"You don't have too..I don't want your other hand looking like that"Molly gestured at the hand that now had an ice pack over it. "Go home, try enjoy the rest of your night and your first official day tomorrow and then we'll see what happens."
"Goodnight mum"
"Goodnight Jade."
