Chapter 2 {Interview Day Pt. 2}

"Let's do this!"

Asta's Pov

I knocked the door twice and then waited for permission to enter. 

"Come in." A male voice said from inside.

Nervously turning the doorknob, I slowly opened the door, stepped in and was greeted by the sight of a handsome raven-hair man seated behind the desk.
'Woah, he's the boss?' I thought, staring at him without moving an inch. 'He looks so young.'
"How may I help you?" He asked, raising a brow and looking up at me from the papers in his hand. 
"Uh, yeah, I'm here for an interview." I replied, snapping out of my thoughts. The man looked back at his desk and took up a file and said "Ah, you're Mr. Asta?" I nodded in response, "Please have a seat." He gestured to the chair in front of his desk. Moving towards it, I took a look around the room. The walls were painted white, there were a few plants in a far corner near the glass doors which led to a balcony with a beautiful view of the capital.

"Alright then," He said looking at me with a gentle smile, "Let's begin."

I gulped and nodded, encouraging myself internally. 

*A few minutes later*

Yuno's Pov

'From what I can tell, with the questions I've asked him so far, it would seem that he answered them all honestly.' I thought looking at his files. He seems like a loyal and hard-working young man, along with being determined and a team player. 'I guess it doesn't hurt to give him a chance, after all, his files and answers all seem ok.'
"Ok Mr. Asta," I said, getting up from my seat and making my way around to him, still looking at his papers. "That would be all for today." 
Finally taking my eyes off the papers, I looked at him with a slight smile and gestured him towards the door. "This way please." As he got up and walked closer to me, I could see his facial  features better. 'I didn't notice before seeing as I was busy looking at his files but he's actually pretty good-looking.' I thought as I stared at him, as he walked by me....

'Wait.....Why did I think that?' I asked myself, as I walked closely behind him I could feel my face burning a little.

"Umm, so, what now?" Mr. Asta said, turning around to face me while pulling me out of my embarrassing thoughts. As I looked at him, I could see him staring nervously at me. Sighing, I held onto the doorknob. "You'll be working as my assistant starting next week." I stated, seeing his eyes light up with excitement. He looked like a puppy who just got rewarded for learning a new trick. 
'That's adorably cute' I thought subconsciously as he walked outside the door. 
"Thank you sir, I won't let you down" He said saluting me. "I hope you'll keep your word then. Thank you for coming, I'll see you at work Monday, at 7:30" I said finally
"Hm!" He hummed and nodded, then hurried to the elevator.
"Wait a minute, didn't I think he was cute not long ago" I realized, after I shut the door and  started walking over to my desk. 

"What's wrong with me today?" I thought sluggishly reaching my desk.

Noelle's Pov

'I wonder how the interview is going,' I thought to myself, looking at the time on my computer screen. 'It should be over by now.'
Just as I finished that thought, I heard someone screeching down the hallway. Then I saw the idio- I mean, Mr. Asta happily rushing towards my desk.
"Ms. Noelle, guess what!" He exclaimed, smiling brightly and staring into my eyes. 'You gained some braincells' I thought sarcastically rolling my eyes "Hmmm, you got hired?" I said smiling.

"YEAH!!" He yelled in excitement, almost jumping on top of my desk and scaring me. 

"Well congratulations sir" I said, he calmed down and looked at me smiling. "Thanks Ms. Noelle, I look forward to working with you." And with that he waved goodbye and left the building.
'He's definitely gonna cause trouble for me.' I sighed at the thought.

*Time skip- At Asta's apartment*

Asta's Pov

I opened the door to my apartment and ran straight up to my bedroom. 'I'm so happy right now, I still can't believe that I got hired.'

I jumped into my bed and took out my phone to call Sister Lily and check up on her and the others. I also want to let them know the good news. 

*rinnggg, rinnnnggg* 
The phone rang two more times until I heard a little beep and then a quiet voice.
"Hello Asta, how are you?" Sister Lily answered the call. 'Her voice is as soothing as ever'

"Hi Sister Lily, I'm fine. You won't believe what I'm about to tell you." I said, barely able to contain my excitement. "What is it?" She asked curiously.

"I passed my interview!!" I exclaimed, almost screaming in the speaker. "I'll start working on Monday."

"That's great Asta, I'm so very proud of you." She claimed. While I heard her telling the others in the background the news, I could hear the kids cheering and father sobbing. "Hahaha, father is also very proud of you and the kids are all happy." 

"Thanks guys, anyways I gotta go now, take care everyone!" 
"Bye Asta, remember to come visit soon." Sister Lily added.

"Bye, I will!" Then I hung up the phone.

Looking at the time it's almost 4:30 in the evening. 'I'm gonna take a shower and then come back in bed.' I thought to myself as I got off the bed and walked to the bathroom.

*15 minutes later*

"Ahhhhh, nothing beats a nice warm bath." I said walking out of the bathroom, towel drying my hair. I then went back over to my bed and sat on the edge, checking to see if I got any messages on my phone. When I saw that there wasn't anything urgent, I laid down and started scrolling through social media before drifting off to sleep.
