The CEO's New Assistant

Chapter 3 (Not as expected)

*First day of work*

Asta's Pov

'Today's the day!' I thought excitedly to myself, getting dressed and looked at myself in the mirror, making sure that my hair was brushed and I didn't look like a total nerd on my first day.

I got up extra early this morning, wondering and preparing for what the day is going to bring. After making sure I looked professional, I rushed out of my room down to the kitchen full of energy. I still had an hour and a half before I had to be at the company so I prepared a proper breakfast of two slices of toast, an omelet  and 5 fried potatoes. When I finished I packed them in a bag, grabbed my stuffs and left the house. 

*Time skip- At the Golden Dawn Industry*

As I walked in, I see Miss Noelle at her desk typing away on her computer. 
"Hi Noelle!" I said loudly, walking over to her. She looked up at me and frowned before turning her attention back at the computer screen. "Hi dorksta," She said while typing, "Just go back to the boss' office and he'll point you to where you'll be stationed." She added, glaring at me.

"Oh, thanks for letting me know." I said smiling, before I start to walk. 'Honestly, what's her problem with me' I wondered to myself as I walked away.

Reaching the boss' office, I straightened out my tie before knocking.
"Come in" his voice came from inside.

Opening the door, I went in and was greeted by his handsome presence once more. This time, he was standing at the balcony door, looking out while rolling up his shirt sleeve. 'Woah....this scene looks so majestic..' I thought to myself, slightly blushing at the sight. 'W-wait, why am I blushing?!' I smacked both my cheeks so I could stop thinking about it.

After he finished fixing his sleeves, he placed his hands in his pocket and turned to face me. "Morning Mr. Asta. I hope you're ready to start." He said with a slight smile. I stared at him for a few seconds, mesmerized by the sight of him once more, before I registered what he just said. " Yes sir, I'm ready!" I replied excitedly,  snapping out of my trance. 

"That's great to hear," He said, walking towards me. "First things first, let's get you acquainted with the company." He then leaded me to the door, to have a tour of the place. 

*After the tour*

'Wow this place is huge.' I cried internally, as we returned to the CEO's Office. The building has 3 floors. On the top floor you'll find the CEO's office restrooms and 2 large conference rooms and a small meeting room. Then 2 small meeting rooms, a brainstorming room, a video-conference room and various workstations are on the 2nd floor. And lastly, the cafeteria, reception area and control room are all located on the bottom floor. 

We walked into the boss' office and he walked over to a door that was at the right side of his desk. 'Was that door always there??' I thought as I walked behind him, staring at the door intently. "This will be your work area from now on," He said, opening the door. "All the files you'll need are found in the desk drawer." 

I looked inside and saw it was just a smaller version of his office, only without a balcony. Walking in, I looked over to my desk and my boss followed behind me. I slid my hand oner the desk in awe, as I pulled the seat out from underneath it and awkwardly sat at the edge of it. 'Its so comfortable' I thought, slowly sliding down into it. I then remembered that my boss was also there in the room with me and when I heard a little chuckling, I straightened myself in the comfy seat.

"I take it you like your chair the most in the entire office." He smirked. I blushed a little at the comment and then he looked at his watch and suddenly got serious. "Alright then," putting his hand down, looked over to me. "Now that you're settled in Mr. Asta, I'll explain what your responsibilities and duties here are." He finished. I nodded my head and took out a mental pen and paper to do my best to memorize what ever he's about to say. 

"Firstly, you'll be answering all my important calls, write down the information and take it to me if I'm busy with something or transfer the call directly to me when I'm in my office and available." He paused and looked at me, I nodded and indicated that I got it. "Secondly, You are to always attend to my needs. What ever tasks I give you to do, you are to ensure that they get done by the time I need them. Whether these tasks are work-related or personal." He stated, walking over to my desk, sitting on the edge. "Thirdly, you are in charge of managing my calendar and appointments and scheduling my meetings and travel arrangements" He said getting up. 

"Did you get all that?" He asked, raising his eyebrow. I nodded, feeling a bit dizzy after he finished "Good" He said, facing me. Then slowly leaning down on my desk in front of me.

"Now get to work."

Sorry for not updating the story for so long guys, took a little mental break from wattpad. Anyways I'm back now and I'll try to upload the next chapter in the next three days!!
