Jason leans in and hugs the sad Leo. Leo is surprised, both by the hug, and because it felt really good. He was used to people finding him obnoxious, so it was actually... nice. He hesitates before hugging jason back, and for a few moments, he just... holds Jason. It felt nice to have somebody be affectionate to hime
"Thanks..." Leo replies after a moment.
"Of course man. Now you need some sleep." Jason says pointing out the obvious.
"...Thank you..." Leo smiles, but this time it's his genuine smile. It's his tired, but still real smile.
"Come on let's get you to bed." Jason says leading Leo out of the engine room and to his sleeping quarters.
Leo follows Jason to the sleep quarters, not protesting in the slightest. As they walk, he leans his head against Jason's shoulder and sighs.
Thanks. Really... Thanks." Leo says
"Of course anytime. I don't know if you know this but..."
Leo stops for a moment, lifting his head off Jason's shoulder to look him in the eyes. He wants to ask what you're gonna say, but he's still waiting, so he just blinks a couple times.
"But?" He asks, the blond boy, while tilting his head to the side.
"I care about you Leo. Uhhh I mean we all do yeah that's what i meant to say." Jason says nervously.
Leo's eyes widen as he hears this. He is surprised, and honestly, he looks like he's on the verge of tears. He blinks a few times before saying,His voice shaky.
"Y-You do?" His brain has to register that you mean this before he believes you.
"Yeah. Did you think that none of us cared about you?" Jason asks looking concerned.
Leo frowns, looking away so you won't see his eyes tear up. He's silent for a moment. "I-I thought... I thought most of you find me annoying and obnoxious and just..." He shrugs.
"Leo none of us think that we all care deeply and equally about each other." Jason says while putting his hand on his friends shoulder.
Leo is surprised, But... in a good way? He blinks once or twice before finding the words to say. "That's- really nice to hear. thank you... really. Thank you. You don't know how much it means to hear it, but thank you." Leo says smiling.
"Now lets get you to your room." Jason says continuing to lead leo to his room.
