"Oh my god!" I exclaim, looking at the casting email for my annual performance of The Nutcracker. I'm looking for my name on the list when I see it under one of the most wanted and popular roles: the Sugar Plum Fairy. My mom rushes upstairs to my bedroom.
"What's wrong?" My mom questions, seeming really concerned. I show her the email. She clicks on the cast list and gasps.
"No way!" My mom yelps. I nod, tears starting to stain my eyes. I've always wanted this role (and Waltz of the Flowers, but we can't have all we want at once, right?) I pull up my phone to call Viktoria. I can't find her role yet.
"Vikkk, what did you get?" I ask Viktoria as she picks up the phone.
"I got, hm, I don't see myself on Trepak. Oh, oh my god! I got Waltz of the Flowers!" Viktoria exclaims, jumping up and down. "What did you get?" I tell her to scroll up. Her jaw drops.
