Isabella Nash was sitting on the metal fire escape outside her bedroom window, gazing at the streets of Los Angeles. She looked at peace as her shoulders weren't tense like they usually were. Her eyes were shut, and her face wore a small smile while the raindrops landed on her, soaking her from head to toe, but she didn't mind.
Rain was one of Isabella's favourite things. She liked the idea that it could wash away one's worries and troubles...
"Mummy," the small voice of Mallory Wright snapped her out of her thoughts.
Isabella opened her eyes and turned to see her daughter standing in front of the open window, holding out a towel for her drenched mother. Climbing through the window, she let the warm air of her apartment welcome her and took the towel from her daughter.
"Thanks, baby. Have you sorted everything you need to for your first day at school tomorrow?" she asked her daughter
"Yeah... do I have to go?" her daughter asked in a small voice, a frown replacing her smile.
Isabella expected this to happen, how could she not? She took her daughter away from the house she had known since she was barely a week old... the same place where she had her father. And now she no longer has that, Isabella knows that this move is going to be hard on her daughter that's why she promised herself to make sure Mallory is always happy and to make sure she has nothing to worry about.
"I'm sorry, but yes you do, how about we eat a bunch of ice cream and watch a film before bed?"
Mallory Wright's face lit up with a smile at the question her mother asked, She nodded her head enthusiastically in reply.
"As long as we watch Rapunzel"

Isabella has been in Los Angeles for a week now, despite having every chance throughout those Seven days to go see her brother, whom she hasn't seen in seven years. She still couldn't bring herself to do that fifteen-minute drive to the 118 firehouse.
Isabella is a little younger than Bobby, but she always remembered her and Bobby being the closest.
She didn't want to admit it but she was scared, she knew as soon as he saw her face he would have hundreds of questions for her, was she ready to talk about everything she's been through in the last seven years? no, she knew that she would never be ready for that conversation but he had the right to know after all he probably thought she was dead.
Either way she had to figure out what to say and fast, because she was exactly three minutes away from the firehouse.
"You got this" Isabella whispered to herself before letting out a sigh and exiting the vehicle.
Upon walking into the 118 house she let her hand glide on the side of the bright red fire truck. The female Nash has a love & hate relationship with the fire trucks, It was great being brought up around a bunch of firefighters until it wasn't.
Too lost in thought she didn't realise someone was in front of her before it was too late and crashed into them.
"I'm so sorry" she quickly said In a small voice looking up at the strawberry blonde-haired man in front of her "It's okay," the man said slightly confused as to why there was a radon woman in the firehouse, Buck didn't recognise her from a call and he certainly would have remembered her.
"Uhh... can I help you with anything?"
"Please," Isabella sighed before continuing "I'm looking for Robert Nash""Oh, Bobby, you a recruit?" Buck asked sheepishly, there was no reason why the 118 needed a new person, they weren't understaffed especially with Eddie Joining the team a week ago.
"Me, oh no I could never do this Job, Bobby is my brother.." Isabella needed to say that out loud before she faced him herself, she needed to remind herself that this was real.
She didn't think about what she was doing because as soon as Buck got to the second floor of the firehouse, with Isabella trying to hide her small frame behind Buck's large one he shouted out "Cap, you didn't tell us you had a sister!"
Once Robert Nash heard what Buck just said the world stopped, he had to stop chopping the carrots that were supposed to be for his team's lunch and set down the knife. He Just looked up and stared at Isabella, he knew it was her, yes she may be older now but she looked the same. She still had those chubby cheeks that always had a rosy colour to them, her hair was the same length, he remembered how she never let it grow past her shoulders, she always said it made her look sick.
He didn't know what to say, his little Izzy was in front of him after all these years of thinking she was gone for good. He wanted to know everything, where's she's been? Why did she leave? He wanted to know it all. But he couldn't form a sentence, all he could do was stare at her.
Isabella was the first one to break the awkward silence, "we should talk."
