Chapter 3

Luz's POV:

We got heads up from (Y/n) Sr And (Y/n) Jr that the anomaly was found, so Lucia and I started heading back to the castle to meet up with the Hunters. Apparently, based off of what (Y/n) said, was that they could sense the fear in Hunter Jr's voice as he told them. And it sounded bad

I landed outside the castle door, immediately rushing in  as Lucia ran in after me and Stringbean flying next to me

Once we got there, we saw Elder Shine already standing in the throne room, along with (Y/n) Jr  and Sr. Belos was on his throne, and a few other children of the stars were there, along with the Edrics, Emiras and the Hunters huddled up in a corner, looking traumatized

"Luz. Lucia. Welcome back. Let's wait for the others before we continue. I'm sure the Hunters only want to explain once" (Y/n) Sr said as (Y/n) Jr nodded in agreement

Soon enough, Willow and Wionna came bursting through the door, Willow immediately rushing over to Hunter Jr and wrapped him in a bear hug. He flinched a bit, but hugged her back. Hunter Sr looked a bit upset about not getting a hug from anyone, but didn't say anything about it. After a bit, Edric Sr slowly moved over to Hunter Sr and sat down next to him, putting an arm around his shoulder as Hunter Sr rested his head on Edric Sr's shoulder

After a bit of that, and small conversations here and there, the rest of the Hexsquad arrived, along with Xeno, Ezben and Alador, who went with Xeno

"Alright" Shine started "Now that everyone has come back, Hunters, please explain the anomaly that you came across"

Willow gave Hunter Jr a small back rub as he stood up, Hunter Sr doing the same as we all sat around the giant table in the throne that was arranged in a giant U, the Hunters moving up to the front where The Stars sat

"Okay, so, it started off with us just simply flying overseas to a nearby island, specifically the island where we fought Odalia" Hunter Jr started

"We landed in the old factory which was broken down and abandoned, yet there were many walls still standing. We ventured through, me leading before we came across the hallway in which Lucia fought Xenos" Hunter Sr continued

"At first we saw nothing, before the anomaly just appeared in front of us- almost as if it was hiding- along with multiple dead bodies by its feet, looking like their very souls were sucked from their bodies"

"It's body was pitch black and was glitching in multiple places, it was 9 feet tall, and had literal death whirlpools for eyes, and it a very wide smile that stretched up to it's ears and looked like it was sewn in place. It's teeth had multiple rows behind it and looked sharper than a Blaxus blade" Hunter Jr described, shivering from the memory

"And let's not forget that being in its very presence made us get such bad nausea and headaches that not many demons or witches can withstand. It also seems to have the ability to use telekinesis and it can morph its body. We saw that when it chased us and moved at a speed faster than a crawler"

"That sounds like anomaly TSC-874, also known as the Broken Reaper" Neptune said, suddenly appearing behind the Hunters, giving both of them heart attacks

Neptune apologized and stepped forward taking the stage
"Anomaly TSC-874, last spotted 374 BC. Causes major nausea and headaches when in presence and it matches your descriptions. Weakness: Water. Strength: Darkness. Absorbs souls for energy. Causes immediate decay if touched "

"If it's weakness is water, that means it can't leave that island, right?" Hunter Jr asked

Neptune nodded before disappearing into thin air and reappearing on his seat
