part 1 - saturday morning

i put my clothes on, picked up calum from his loft and we got to our shared cube. i kept grunting and whining for about 20 minutes until calum threw a paper ball at my head.

"shut the fuck up." he stomped his feet and turned in his chair at the same time i did.

"i just want to talk to michael!" i whined once more.

"your obsession is getting out of hand mate." he signed, rubbing his temple. i frowned and let out a loud 'humf' sound, crossing my arms over my chest.

"well i've got an itch i need him to scratch." i mumbled under my breathe. "so excuse me."

he only rolled his eyes and turned back around to his computer, once again playing pin ball. i mean, what kind of office worker actually does there work? i'm hoping none or else calum and i would be in deep shit. "i can, like, hook you up with someone?"

"are they michael?"

"no..."

"then no."

"whatever." he sighed.

"but how am i going to get him to call me in his office monday?" i bit my lip harshly and fiddle with my skirt. i felt bad that calum constantly helped me with my issues but it's not like he ever wants to talk to me about his, even if i had once accidentally pushed him to the point where he didn't speak to me for a while week.

"i asked katie-"

"the blue or green eyes?"

"green. and she said that the best way to get called into your boss' office is to screw up, make an appointment or be the like, employee of the month." he spoke between groans and gasps, still playing pinball.

"okay i'm not going to destroy my job life for this, and i can't do the best job ever in just a day." i frowned at the last option and sighed loudly.

"so make an appointment with him?" calum spoke as if it was the most obvious thing to do.

"remind me again why we're doing this calum." i quirked an eyebrow at his turned back and he released a sigh.

"right. so our plan was futile from the very start." i bit my lip and looked down at my lap, turning around to my computer and decided to go online shopping. i just added everything to my cart and grumbled at the number on the screen and closing the tab.

part 2 - lunch

calum and i were in the lunch room when i caught a glimpse of michael basically running for his life. so naturally, the oh so caring person i am, i shot out of my seat in the middle of calum's story earning a mumble of 'whatever bitch' and ran after michael. he was jumping on the balls of his heals and shaking his hands nervously, whipping the sweat off on his jeans as he stood at the elevator.

"what's wrong?" i popped from behind him. he squeaked slightly and turned to me with wide eyes, hand clutching his chest. "woah. calm there!" i chuckled nervously.

"jesus christ! being in my position on life is hard enough, i don't need a heart attack" he grumbled with a blush.

i bit my lip in guilt and looked down to my purple toe nails, wiggling them as i fiddle with the ends of my skirt. "what's got you on the edge this week?" i whispered.
