❥"Your lips are swollen."
Satoru flicked my forehead, I hissed as I covered the part that was impacted. My face red.
"Satoru I don't know what to do-I just did something so bad."
"Wait-did you fu-"
"No! We just kissed! A lot! If the higher ups find out..."
I trail off as Megumi came from Satoru's room with Nobara, their eyes widen as they look at me.
"Satoru!"
Nobara's first thought was that Satoru and I had made out...
Part of me just wanted to play it off and say it was him.
Though he looked at me and shook his head, turning to face the two.
"Wait...Satoru are you and Ilya-"
"It was Sukuna."
He ripped the bandage off.

Megumi and Nobara looked at each other with wide eyes, then at me again.
"You didn't."
Megumi was shocked, but his voice was sharp with disappointment.
"Did you..like it?"
Nobara smiled wearily.
"This is...embarrassing."
I pressed my face into Satoru's back,
"I told you you shouldn't be purposely around him Ilya! You are being stupid! Why the hell would you kiss him?"
"Megumi I don't know..."
He was beyond livid, if it was just us two in the room right now he wouldn't be holding back.
"Do you actually like Sukuna like that?"
Nobara asked, stepping in front of Megumi.

"I wouldn't say like. He is attractive."
"He is going to kill you in 15 days Ilya!"
Megumi watched me, confused at my feelings.
"I will change his mind."
"And then what Ilya? You marry the most dangerous sorcerer from 1000 years ago? You kill everyone and live happily ever after? Do you understand what the higher ups would do to you if they found out just how deep you are in this with Sukuna? They will have us all target you both!"
"He does have a point..."
Satoru crossed his arms in thought, thinking more deeply over Megumi's words.
"Guys, they wont find out. We don't do anything in public that would arouse suspicion."

"There are other way for them to know rather then just seeing it."
Satoru hums.
"None of you will tell them."
"We wouldn't. But just be careful okay?"
Nobara placed her hands on my shoulders, shaking me back and forth a bit.
"Spending too much time with him will really make them question your loyalty."
"But I am not a sorcerer."
"You have a cursed technique. An extremely rare one at that. You have been on their radar since you were born. You even survived Sukuna without attacking him. They are always watching you, listening to you."
Megumi grumbled.

They all had a point. I was being reckless, hell, the higher ups could tell my friends to kill me and they would have to listen or else they would betray sorcerers.
"I wont go out in public with him anymore."
"You aren't going to him anymore you mean. Ilya has all of this went over your head?"
Megumi reached for one of my arms but Satoru intercepted him.
"15 days left until we kill Sukuna."
Satoru seemed to remind Megumi,
"You mean until you kill Sukuna?"
He pulled his hand from Satoru's grasp. He shook his head.
"What do you mean?"
I ask.
Though it was as straight forward as ever.
My chest squeezed as Satoru gave me a look I knew all too well...
"What if he doesn't kill me...?"

"It doesn't matter. Sparing you to just kill the rest. That doesn't change him."
Satoru yawned, stretching his way out of the conversation going any further.
He knew I would go on a hopeful ramble.
Promising that I would keep Sukuna in check...
"I cant..."
My hands ball into fists at my sides, my nails digging into my skin.
"Don't start."
Satoru glanced back, though he put his blindfold back on and left into his room, shutting the door slowly. Megumi and Nobara watched me. Waiting for my foolish words.
But I spoke no further.
They are sorcerers.
They would never understand.
"Im going back..."
I turn for the door,
"You should come home for tonight. We need to talk."
Megumi spoke softer than usual. I didn't face him. I was too ashamed of how I truly did feel and hope to tame Sukuna.
15 days is just not enough time.
He lusts for blood more than intimacy.
Power fuels him.

"I don't want to talk about it."
"Well I do. I need to understand this situation."
Megumi, His arms wrapped around me from behind, his chin resting on top of my head. His heart beat calm.
"I cant talk about what my situation is right now because I am still trying to figure it out. I didn't think I would get so far into it with him okay? 15 days is not enough to change him but the month as a whole is enough to refresh his perspective. I want him to understand the balance of life. I want him to appreciate the fragility of those weaker than him. I want to understand him. Call me an idiot, call me foolish, call me insane...but..."
I trailed off.
I said too much.
"Listen. I don't want you dead. I don't want you sad either. Make a deal with me okay?"
Megumi turned me around in his arms to face him, our eyes met, his were sad...
"A deal?"

"Listen. You can feel this way about Sukuna, you can do whatever you want with him okay? Just don't interfere with Satoru and Sukuna's fight the day your deal ends. Even if he doesn't kill you, he needs to be dealt with or else Satoru and the rest of us will have to take the backlash. This thing that is happening is a lot bigger than just you and Sukuna. Don't forget what you are not, and don't forget who your friend's are."
