It is Theodore's 33th birthday, and instead of having a lavish ball like he does every year, this time it's close friends and family only
Well since Theodore's only family left is Elizabeth and his only friends are Carter and Reynold
The guest list is
Elizabeth Alliet (daughter)
Reynold Weston (assistant)
Carter Rosenheim (only friend)
Caleb Rosenheim (only friend's son)
"Caleb are you alright?" Theodore stands the child up as he tripped while running
"Yes Duke Theo" Theodore pats Caleb's clothes down to remove the dirt "how many times have I told you, you can call me uncle"
"Yes Uncle Theo, Happy birthday Uncle!"
"Thank you young gentlemen, would you like some cake? Let's get back inside shall we?"
"Okay!"
Theo carries Caleb back inside the manor where the rest are waiting sitting in a medium sized table
"Oh god Caleb what happened to you?" Carter stands up to go to his son
"He tripped outside, his clothes got dirty though, I'll ask a maid if we have extra"
"Thank you Theo, we appreciate it" Carter smiles at him
Elizabeth pops out of nowhere "Daddy I'm hungry"
"Oh right! Let's get Caleb changed then we'll eat"
"Okay"

"Well... All I have are my clothes from when I was young, so they maybe a little outdated and out of fashion" Theodore hands over the clothes to Caleb
"They will do, Thank you again"
Caleb gives a side eye to his father "Dad aren't I the one who's supposed to say thank you?"
"I mean, as your parent he's also helping me by helping you so I should thank him as well"
"Right... Ok dad try not to smile so much" Caleb whispers to his dad
While on his way to change he quietly pulls Elizabeth to the side
"Why is your Daddy and my Dad acting lovey dovey?" Caleb says whispering
"You noticed too? Are we gonna be siblings? What's the last name now? Caleb Alliet and Elizabeth Rosenheim?"
"I'm all for mama Theo, he's really nice and pretty, but your poor daddy deserves better than my dad if I'm being honest"
Their conversation was cut if by Reynold "what are you both whispering about? If you want cake Caleb better get changes already"
"Of course, of course..." Caleb excuses himself

"Duke Alliet, some people want to meet you" The headmaid says
"Really? Excuse me for a second Carter, I'll just give see who's upfront"
When Theodore gets to the entrance of the mansion he sees Duke Clemonte, Crowell and Laurent
They are in a side by side position which honestly reminded Theo of the mean girls with Adrianne being in the middle with his minions Gabrielle and Vincentia
As a narrator I should probably stop making fun of important characters in this story, my apologies
"So what brings me the pleasure of your visit?" Theo presses his lips into a thin line
"We know it's your birthday today and we didn't receive invitations, we thought you were excluding us and we can't let that happen, so we went anyway and found out you weren't having a party so I guess it's okay" Vincent explains
"But I am having a party, with close friends only, and you still showed up anyway, talk about manners"
"That's not the main reason we came, or at least not the main reason I did, I wanted to apologize for my selfishness last time" Adrian hands Theo two boxes, one is cake and one is jewelry
"And I came because I hope the disagreement won't come between our children, Evander and Elizabeth seemed to like each other's presence, and Evander has been asking when he could come back" Gabriel spoke up
"Okay... I apologize too, for speaking about sensitive topics and for lashing out, I forgive you, and I wish we could celebrate with your children, Carter and Caleb are here, if yours were here we could definitely assist you-"
Theodore was cut of by Gabriel "oh that's wonderful because I bought Evander with me, he's waiting inside the carriage"
"I bought Nathaniel too, I'll go get him"
"Vincent? What about you" Theo asked
"Yes, Sebastian is waiting outside, I'll fetch him"
"Maria, I hope it won't be trouble if you added six more chairs and plates to the table, surprise guest are coming"
"Of course sir, we'll carry on with it"
A deep sigh escapes Theo
"Happy birthday to me"
