Destined With Who?

Six flipping takes?!

Novembver 24th 2006,

Today we started filming my first scene. To say I was nervous was an understatement... Not only did I have crawl into my character for the first time, but I had to kiss Hayden. Wich I wasn't prepared for at all.

Mara (my character) works as a bartender and waitress in a cocktailbar, so that was obviously where she met Robert, William and Aiden. Basically she would stand behind the bar while the boys were discussing buisiness. Robert would come up to the bar to order some drinks but forgot his wallet... bla bla bla, and then he would pay with a kiss, that was the scene we would film today. 

I sat in front of the mirror getting my make-up done, and felt more anxious than I wanted to be. A make-up artist put some black eyeshadow on my eyelids and some cherryred lipstick on my lips, the lips that would toutch Hayden's in about half a hour. I had this sterotypical waitress outfit on and I felt slightly uncomfortable when I stood up to walk to the set. The background characters and the main-ones were alweady sitting down or walking in or out the café. I took my place behind the bar and the scene could begin. As soon as the cameras started rollling I felt most of my fear dissapear, and I became Mara. 

For the next couple minutes I was just workin' behind the counter and makin' cocktails for 'customers', that was the time when the guys were discussing and working on their plans. I felt my heart sank in my stomach when it was Haydens aka Roberts time to come up to the counter to order their drinks. I quickly put on a flirty smile and the dialoge started...

'How can I help you, sir?' I asked while winking at him. 

'I would like two Gin Tonics and one Aperol Spritz.' He said with a little akward but cute grin. 

I smiled back and said I would get them the drinks when they are done. He then asked if he could pay right away because the café was gettin' full and they wanted to leave right after they finished their drinks. 

'Leavin' so soon ha, where are you goin' then?' I asked while leaning over the bar a little bit.

He blushed slightly, and said that it was top-secret. He then, still smiling, put his hand in his pocket to grap his wallet, realising it wasn't there. 'Eh, sorry ma'am but I think I forgot my money.' He glanced back at the table and then back at me. 'I don't think they have money either.' 

I looked at him grinned flirty, 'Oh, well there's another way you can pay.' 

He looked at me flabbergasted, 'Eh... I don't understand...' 

I pointed at my cherryred lips and smiled again. 

He then became red like a flipping tomato. I thought to myself that he was such a good actor, blushing on comando. He looked uncomfy around the café, his friends were busy talking and the other 'customers' were also not paying attention. We both leaned over the bar a little bit and I closed my eyes. Don't think Y/N, don't think, just do. I leaned in a little more and placed my hands on his cheeks and kissed him full on his mouth. He kissed me back a bit and then let go. 

'So easy as th-' I wanted to say but then I pushed down a glass that was standing on the counter next to me and I gasped and cursed really hard. I felt really embarrassed and even worse when Mia yelled: 'CUT'. 

We tried again... The whole scene. Yes, you heard me right... the whole scene. The walking up to the counter, the flirting and most importantly, the kiss. 

I pointed my finger to my not-so-cherryred lips again and smiled... again. I leaned forward and so did he. Our lips connected. I ran my fingers through his hair this time. I was happy thinking it went good on the second try... but no. We heard a whisteling sound in the back. Hayden and I looked over to see Ryan grinning at us as Hayden started to laugh slightly. I wanted to punch them in their faces... I flinched when Mia yelled 'CUT' again.  

And over. I must say Hayden was a good actor, every scene we had to do again he changed up a little bit. He was improvising. This time he leaned with his hand on the counter when he kissed me. When we kissed each other. The stylist had to put lipstick on my lips again, because the color had faded. We thought of everything. Almost everthing. The beer I had pushed off the counter wasn't cleaned up. The wood was all soaked up and slippery. Durning the thirth kiss Haydens hand slipped of the counter and fell forward with his chin on the bar. I know it wasn't proper to blame him for it, but it was really hard because I really wanted the scene to be over. 

I didn't expect it to go well the fourth time, but when I let go his lips I actually felt relieved because nothing had happened yet. That was until some figurant choked on their drink. Nothing to worry about though, after a couple coughs it was over. But not the scene, it never seemed to be over. Litterly soooo Jeff Buckley. 

The fifth time I swear I wanted to kill Hayden. Apparently he thought this was funny... Well I didn't. So we're kissing... again. We were almost done, but then he decided it would be fun to.... YANK MY HAIR!!! I yelped slightly whilst Hayden and basically everybody else was laughing. I was soooo done with this, but Hayden swore that he wouldn't be any trouble for the sixth takes. Ofcourse I did not believe him but we still had to do the scene so I went along with it. 

My lipstick was put on again and the scene went like all the other, except the kiss went flawless. Hayden smiled warmly at me when I puled away. 'As easy as that, mr...?'

'Call me Robert,' he said with his more red than normal lips. Hayden grabbed the drinks and walked off to their table. I smiled again and the scene was over. As soon as the directors cut off the camera I yelled: 'Six times to charm!' as I flung my fist in the air. Everybody cheered and clapped. I felt so happy and relieved it was finally over. I glanced over at the table where the guys were standing and caught both Jake and Hayden staring at me. Hayden was smiling and Jake looked rather irritated. I felt a weird feelling in stomach but decided to ingore it. 

I felt Mia's hand on my shoulder. 'Well done Y/N, you're first kissing scene went amazing.'
