Luffy was unusually silent. He was staring into the vast ocean, thinking of something or rather what happened back then.
[FlashBack - Years Ago]
Luffy was standing on something with a blade in hand. He had a small frown.
Luffy: “I've had it with you guys!! Now You'll have to take me seriously!”
It's been years since (Y/N) was reincarnated into Monkey D. Luffy. Something reincarnated him into this boy's body. Though the more he grew up the more he learned about the world. He was in the Era of Piracy..
Now he wanted to become a pirate. Though Shanks and his crew didn't take him seriously which led him to do something stupid and have a mark on him that stays with him for a long time.
Shanks: “Ha Ha Ha! get it over with! whatever it is!”
Shanks Crew Mate: “What's the pup up too now?”
Luffy had glared at them. His eyes turned cold as he suddenly smirked. He raised the blade to his eye and stabbed himself under his eye. He hissed in pain. This shocked the rest of the crew, even Shanks himself.
“HUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
“WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR YOU IDIOTTT!”
They were now in a Tavern, Luffy was patched up. The crew was drinking and toasting to Luffy!
Shanks: “A toast! To Luffy’s courage and to our great voyage!”
Luffy: “That didn't hurt one bit! I barely felt a thing!”
Shanks: “Liar! That was a foolish thing to do!”
Luffy: “I'm not afraid of getting hurt! Moreover, I ain't afraid of fighting! So please, take me on your next voyage! I want to be a pirate too!”
Shanks Laughed at the thought of being a pirate.
Shanks: “ HA HA HA! You a pirate?! impossible! Luffy, do you know why we call you “Anchor”? because you can't swim. You just sink! What good is a pirate who can't swim?”

Luffy: “But If I don't fall overboard then it doesn't matter if I'm an Anchor! Believe it or not, I can fight! I bet I can take down one of your crewmates!”
Crewmate: “Calm down Luffy!”
Crewmate 2: Let's just have a good time!”
Crewmate 3: “Pirates always have a good time!”
Crewmate 4: “ The sea is vast and there's a lot of islands to explore!
Crewmate 5: “And best of all Pirates have freedom!”
