"Hey, Asta? Asta!" shouted Izuku as he walked into the skull he and Asta used to play at. Izuku then cuts the corner and sees Asta doing push-ups while hyping himself up.
"I'll show them! I'll show them all!" shouted Asta. He then jumps up on a branch and shouts to scream so the whole village hears him.
"I'll show you all!! I'LL BE THE WIZARD KING!! BELIEVE THAT!!!" shouted Asta
"Nevermind. He doesn't need it. He'll be fine." said Izuku as he smiles and walk away.
"Oh Izuku! Did you need something?" asked Asta as he noticed Izuku walking away.
"Well, I was going to give you some words of encouragement but it looks like you don't need it," said Izuku
"Thanks Izuku. I really mean it." said Asta with a smile.
"No problem Asta, we're brothers after all. Plus I wouldn't have anyone to compete with if u gave up." said Izuku
"But wait what about Yuno?" asked Asta
"Oh yeah. Anyways, come back when your ready. Food is almost ready." said Izuku as he walked away
"Alright, I will!" said Asta as he continued his training
Later after Asta finished his pushups he ran after Izuku to catch up to him for lunch as they both walk back to the church.
"Welcome back boys! Just in time for dinner!" said Lily as she sets the plates down on the table. "Ok so for dinner we have pot potatoes with a side of mashed potatoes as well."
"Wow, it looks good! You'll make a great wife when I marry you Sister Lily! Also can you please marry me?!!" Asked Asta as Lily sent a water fist punch to Asta towards a wall.
"Now, lets eat shall we?" asked Lily
Everyone in the church start to eat there food. Once finish they go to bed early for tomorrow because Asta, Yuno, and Izuku all get their grimoires tomorrow.
TOMORROW MORNING
It's finally the next day as dandelions start to fly in the air, which means today is where the three 15-year-olds get their grimoires, we see Asta, Yuno, and Izuku racing to the grimoire tower with everyone in the church walking behind them. Once they got in the tower, there was mumbling from Nobles.
"Tch. These peasants, they make me sick."
"I heard that the one with the gray hair has not a single drop of mana, and the green and black-haired one has a large amount of mana."
"Tch. It won't matter since they are just peasants."
Then an old man walks up to the podium on stage.
"Welcome Ladies and Gentleman, today you will get your own grimoires. I hope that once you do get your grimoires, you use it for good, or become a magic knight, then the wizard king. LOOK I MEAN IT!!" said the Old wizard.
"What's his problem?" asked Izuku as Yuno and Asta shrugged their shoulders
Then the grimoires start to float to their new owners. Some of the grimoires were small and some were thick.
"Hahaha, we will be taking the entrance exam in a few months!"
Then a bright light came from Yuno as he received his grimoire.
"Wait, is that the-
"THE FOUR LEAF?!!"
"How does a peasant like him have that ?!"
"I will become the Wizard King!" said Yuno
Then the crowd cheers to Yuno except for the Nobles in the building.
"Whoa so cool Yuno!" said Izuku
"Yeah! BUT WHERE IS MY GRIMOIRE?!" asked Asta
"Umm...Try again."
"Wait. I didn't get one either." Izuku mentioned
"Same goes for you."
"Yuno is so amazing!" said Recca
"Yay Yuno!" said Aruru
"Yuno is the hope of the church!!" said Orsi
"Asta...Izuku."
'Thats weird.... I have magic but not a grimoire?' Izuku thought to himself.
"Just wait Yuno...I will catch up.....I'm your rival!" shouted Asta
Silence...... Later everyone in the building started to laugh out loud at Asta as began to mock him.
"Rival?! YOU'RE NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!"
"You?! A magicless freak wants to be rivals with A four-leaf clover user! What a joke!"
Yuno then walks away from Asta and said
"Please, you are embarrassing yourself. Leave while you can. " Yuno said
Yuno walks out the tower leaving Asta look at the floor. Then hand was in front of him, he looked up to see Izuku smiling at him.
"Come on my rival." said Izuku with a smile on his face.
Asta then grabs his hand and smile
TIMESKIP
Everyone left the tower as Yuno was tied up by some chains. How did that happen you ask? Well long story short, the nobles decided to attack Yuno but it ended badly with Yuno sending a wind attack toward the two nobles. Not only that but some strange man comes up out of nowhere and takes Yuno's grimoire
"This would be really useful for the market in the undergrounds!"
Later someone appears from the bush and starts to shout.
"WHAT TO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING TO MY RIVAL?!" shouted Asta as he jumped out of a bush.
Asta runs towards the freak and starts to dodge all the chains coming at him. He slides behind him and tries to throw a punch but a bunch of chains stab Asta sending him flying to the wall.
"Now what made you think that would be a good idea?! Your magicless. Just a piece of trash! Do yourself a favor and give up!"
'Dammnit, even after I work hard, I'm still weak compared to magic. Maybe I should give up.'
Later a dark aura appears in front of Asta. It turned out to be a grimoire covered in dirt.
"My grimoire?" Asta said to himself
Asta then gets up pulls a sword from the grimoire and charges at the freaky dude.
"Not giving up is my magic!" Asta said
Asta swings his sword and knocks the dude out cold. Yuno was free from the chains and walked up to check on Asta. Izuku finally arrives at the scene but is too late
"Asta are you okay?! WHOA! Is that your grimoire?!" Asked Izuku
"Hey Izuku, Im totally fine and yeah I guess this is my grimoire! I'm only one step closer to becoming the Wizard King!" said Asta
"Yeahh Nice!" said Izuku
"Oh wait Izuku. You don't have a grimoire. That's so weird."
"It is pretty weird but that won't stop me from becoming the Wizard King. Grimoire or no grimoire!"
"Yeah! But I'll be the Wizard King before you Izuku." said Asta
"No, I will because I'm your rival!" said Yuno
"Oh so now you're his rival?" Asked Izuku
"What do you mean? I have anyways been his rival." said Yuno
"Whatever." Izuku said while rolling his eyes.
"Starting from today we are rivals! We will see who becomes wizard king first!" said Izuku as Yuno and Asta both fist bump Izuku and walk home
