It was the day. I was sixteen. sixteen. I remember when I was six. That was ten years ago. TEN! I just don't believe it. I can't.

I walked down stairs, not knowing what to expect. The only people I saw were my parents. My sisters were asleep. I was never up before them.. Strange. I guess when you turn sixteen things do really change. For breakfast, my mother has made me chocolate chip pancakes. Yum! I ate three. It was my birthday.. I can do what I want..

Finally Sammie woke up. She ran down stairs and hugged me. " YOURE SIXTEEN!!!" She screamed. She kept going on and on about how old I am now. Then Sydney woke up. "Happy birthday." She said. It's funny. Usually Sydney gets all excited about this kind of things. She was super excited yesterday. She grabbed a plate and put a pancake on it. "Hey, those are my pancakes!" I said sarcastically. She started at me. She gave me an annoyed look. "I was joking Sydney." I said. "Well it wasn't funny!" She said "pancakes are very serious." She said. "Guys just stop fighting over the pancakes." Sammie said. Mom and dad looked at each other and laughed.

It was finally my party my friends and I had such a great time. The cake my mom made was spectacular. It was chocolate with vanilla icing. My favorite!
