Filming began the following week, everyone was excited to see their former colleagues, the supporting actors who would appear in a few scenes in a couple of chapters. Shuri entered with makeup, hair and wardrobe ready, when in the distance she saw her friends talking to each other, she approached and greeted everyone.
Natasha and Yelena talked about an anecdote they had had while they were on vacation at their parents' farm, Xialing told how they had chosen her to voice the main character of an animated series and Wanda showed them all photos of how big they were Billy and Tommy.
"And how is your character's new love interest?" Yelena asked Shuri.
"He is handsome?" Xialing added, trying to make the mockery bigger.
They all knew how uncomfortable it was for Shuri to talk about boys.
Largely because she knew how the media could take her words and make out something totally different; That's why she almost always preferred to play the protagonist's sarcastic friend; Of course, there were times where she left that comfort zone and she risked taking on different roles.
But she also knew that she could trust them, even so, she would not give them the pleasure of giving them the information they wanted, it was bad enough for her to feel the blood in her body heat up every time she practiced with Namor.
"Well then..." Shuri tried to answer, carefully calculating her words so that they wouldn't get suspicious.
Wanda opened her eyes and pointed at her. "Hey, you hesitated, that means you like him."
They all started making fun of her and Shuri criticized them because they were behaving like schoolgirls. At that point, she saw Riri in the distance and called her to come to the group. She introduced her to her other friends and they continued talking until the scene was called.
Even though most of them were already there, they couldn't find Namor anywhere, Attuma confirmed that he had arrived with him on the set. While the assistant director was sent to call him to his dressing room, Shuri watched as Wanda spoke to T'Challa and wished him a speedy recovery.
Shuri knew how important he wanted to all of them, since she had helped all of them in some way, she knew that they would also be there for him if necessary and she was grateful to have people who loved her brother so much.
"We are already here!" said Luke Jacobson, entering or practically walking at a fast pace, the wardrobe manager really did justice to his profession, they wore a pin cushion in the shape of a handle on their left wrist, a measuring tape around their neck and they were trying to thread a thread on a needle.
With him came the director's assistant and two makeup assistants, as well as Namor himself, who with all his character's attire looked much more attractive than normal, or that's what Shuri thought.
"Luke, What happened?" Ross asked, quite upset "You know we have to record this banner for the Stark+ media team and they want it before noon"
At that point the director checked the Tablet that his assistant had given him and his anguish became a little more palpable "Do you see it?" He asked him persistently as the screen showed him."They are even sending me emails about the matter"
