cD "Harhar very funny Hundley. Im giving you one last chance to tell me. This time i want thetruth." I growled. Hundley looked like he was about to pass out. Thats when i realised.... hes not lying. Vampires are real. And theyre a major threat to the pack at the moment.... That is if all these vampire myths are true.

"..... Vampires. A young vamp had supposedly cornerd one of our own and nearly drained him dry. Heres the message it left. Hundley isnt lying. Though i assume you know that now by the way Hundley nearly pissed himself." My father said walking in.Hundley made a face yet stayed silent. He knew his place in the pack. Dad tossed a blood stained envalope to me. I sniffed the almost dried blood. Shifter blood.I reconized the shifter.. It was the youngest and the weakest, Adalyn. The sent made me gag. I tore open the envalope and read it outloud.

"No comprimises. No deals. Nothing. We are here to stay... and feed. If you fleabags get in our way....We will not hesitate to wipe out your pack of mutts. If any of you wish to attpemt or plan anything against us.... just note: We have spys scattered all around your pack.Unfortunate enough for you we find the blood of shifters delightful. Beware Alpha Adrian.

~Dorian"

I looked up. Dad raised an eyebrow.

"Why would they take the time to warn us and try to make us bow down to them if they could just hide in the town peacefully? WHy make us aware? Maybe they arent as strong and as scary as they attempt to be in this letter." I chose my words carefully knowing Dad would say the same old lines hes always used when dealing with the enemy. "Never underestimate them, Adrian. Enemys are enemys no matter what species. Killing us is hard yet not impossible." Blah blah blahhh.

"True... but maybe they are what they seem. Who knows. I never even fucking knew bloodsuckers were real until today." Dad mumbled irritatedly under his breath. That'll make two of us....

"Ahem... Alpha Adrian. Alpha Alex." Hundley said motioning to the new audience of shifters slowly appearing. I nodded.

"And now we wait for the rest of the pack. Hundley go join you're mate. I think we've got this whole explaining it to them under control." Hundly dipped his head and walked over to his mate thankfull to be out of the whole "Explaining vampires are real to the pack" thing. This is not going to be easy. Nope not at all. The cave looked like it had expanded as each shifter came. The moss covering the mouth of the cave was a perfect disguise. The pack whispered and mumbled to eachother wondering about what this suprise meeting could possibly be about. They'll know soon enough.

A small head made its way through the pack. His head bobbed up and down as he walked. Chase. The youngest wolf in the pack. (Now that Adalyn was gone...) Chase isnt a shifter. He is a wolf. He doesnt shift at the specific age limit. He doesnt shift into the wolf form when he wants. No, he is like the wolves in human stories. Full moons drive him crazy and make his wolf shift, leading him on a rampage all night under the moons ghostly light. Wolves are almost shifters... They became wolves when there is a human mother and a shifter father. Otherwise this sort of thing isnt common unless your mate decides not to turn you.

"Adrian! Why did you guys call us up here to this boring old cave? When will this be over?" Nine year old Chase whined. I ruffled his hair.

"Soon. Trust me this is important, kid.Otherwise i wouldnt be in this boring cave either." I glanced at dad. He gave me a warning look telling me to make Chase sit down so this meeting can begin.

"Chase go find your father and wait with him. The meeting is about to start." Chase looked like he was about to protest but he must have caught Dads eye. He nodded quickly and jogged into the crowd of Shifters. I met the eyes of a hundred or more shifters.

"Is everyone here?!" I called out to the pack. Mumbles and whispers rippled through the croud as they looked from side to side checking if everyone was there.

"Ava's not here yet!" A female shouted from the pack. I cursed under my breath. Oh how Ava deeply annoyed me... She almost is always late for pack meetings... Plus she never listens to me, her alpha for crying outloud!

"Ava. Go stand with the crowd." I growl pinching the bridge of my nose.

"Howwww abouutttt..... No?" Ava grins. I glare at her.

"Sit. Now. Or else i will rip your head off right on the spot!" Dad walked up behind me and grabbed my shoulder.

"Calm down Adrian. Ava, go sit please?" She sighs and goes to the crowd. Why does my pack have to be so difficult sometimes??!

I cleared my throat to get their attention. All eyes snapped to me. In a way it was kinda creepy how they all did it in a synchronized movement.

"As you all know.... there has been a tragedy . We just lost a young wolf, Adalyn." I paused. Adalyn's mothers sobs rang through the cave. Her husband tried to calm her down with soothing words only they could hear. I sighed.

"But what many of you don't know is how Adalyn died.... Puncture wounds were found in her neck. She was drained of blood.... Vampires... Vampires did this to her!"

"Vampires aren't real!!" Someone shouted.

"He's making this up!" Another said.

"You've got to be kidding me...." More and more joined in. Great. I let out a growl.

"QUIET!! It is vampires and they're living on our territory. They are a major threat and not taking this seriously is what's gonna get us all killed!" They all shut up and listened once more.

"They sent a note... a warning. Basically saying you leave us alone , we don't rip your pack to shreds' For now that's what we're gonna do. Until we get more information on these blood suckers then we will take action on this situation. If any of you hear or see any of them or are suspicious of them then report to me or our Beta. Now go back to your lives." I dismissed.

I didn't really blame them for the way they acted though.... Vampires?? Really?? The idea was pretty stupid and unbelievable. Some of the elders stayed back to speak with dad so I took that as an opportunity to get away for awhile and go out running while he was distracted. The green leafy trees went by in a blur as I started running. I hope red he- I mean Kay is still at the house after I get done running. I might just get there early to annoy her. A flash of brown fur flew past my face causing me to run into a tree.

"Son of a bi-"

"Language!" Ava said through the pack link.

"You little annoying- Ughhh why must you live to irritate me??!?"

"Cause its fun." She laughed. She sat up and shifted back to human right In front of me. I shielded my eyes. She laughed again.

"You know you want to look." She teased.

"Oh yeah. Definitely.... That's why I'm covering my eyes." I said sarcastically. Its not like I didn't want to look...... trust me.... I most definitely wanted to. Its just that I need to abandon my man whorish ways... I'm the alpha for crying out loud! Time to grow up. Ava got closer until her breath hit my face.

"Come on Adrian.... Look." She whispered. Maybe I can grow up later....

I slowly uncovered my eyes and stared down at her. She smashed her lips against mine and tangled her hands in my hair. I hesitated but kissed back grabbing her waist.

'WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!?!?' My wolf shouts.

'STOP!!" He shouts again. I ignore him and continue to make out with Ava. It felt right.... but I knew this should've never even started.

*CRASH!!* A tree branch landed at our side causing me to jump back, pulling away from Ava. I looked up to see what had caused it. Just as I looked up a flash of red disappears in the curtain of leafs leaving me confused and mind fucked.....

Was that a blood sucker!?!?
