Chapter 4: Shadows of Deception

As the trio - Hisoki, Kisaki, and Haruhi - along with their gracious host, an elderly woman, gathered around a modest wooden table for breakfast, the room was filled with the comforting scent of a simple yet heartfelt meal. The old woman's kindness was a glimmer of light in their otherwise tumultuous journey.

Hisoki, filled with gratitude, expressed his thanks, appreciating the warmth of the meal and the generosity of their host. Kisaki echoed Hisoki's sentiments, acknowledging the rarity of such kindness in their recent days. Haruhi, her smile revealing her appreciation, expressed how much their host's generosity meant to them, especially after all they had been through.

Throughout breakfast, the old woman listened attentively, absorbing the tales of their trials and unwavering determination. Her sympathetic nature was reflected in her eyes as she recognized the resilience these young souls possessed.

"It's why we're on this quest," Hisoki declared with determination, a fire burning in his eyes. "To alter this world's course, to bring light to those confined in darkness."

Kisaki nodded in firm agreement. "We'll not rest until justice is served until every silenced voice is heard."

"We aim to create a world where no soul endures the pain we have," Haruhi added, her compassion evident in her voice.

The old woman, full of support, wished them well on their journey, her gaze filled with hope for the success of their noble mission as they bid her farewell.

As they continued their journey, a distressing scene unfolded before them in a dimly lit alley - two men engaged in a violent altercation over a loaf of bread. Shocked, Haruhi gasped in horror, unable to fathom such desperation and brutality.

"Have you ever witnessed such despair, such cruelty?" Hisoki asked urgently, addressing his companions.

Haruhi, her voice trembling, struggled to comprehend the distressing sight before her as they eventually moved away from the unsettling scene.

Meanwhile, Hisoki felt the weight of responsibility upon his shoulders. His father's hidden room held the key to their mission, and he was determined to uncover its secrets for the sake of justice. Each step only strengthened his resolve.

However, in the castle, an ominous figure observed Hisoki's departure with a malevolent glint in their eyes, knowing the treacherous secrets concealed within his father's room.

Amidst the castle's intrigue, guards discussed the red-eyed boy, contemplating how to reveal information about him for promised rewards, cautious of the confidentiality surrounding the matter.

Haruhi, bold and resolute, faced her father, the king, in an opulent chamber. Their conversation revealed her growing understanding of their family's role in perpetuating the world's inequalities, igniting her curiosity about the secrets hidden within her father's desk.

As Kisaki journeyed toward a reunion with his long-lost sister, Yumi, emotions surged within him. He reminisced about their shared hardships, anticipating the long-overdue reunion.

Meanwhile, Hisoki ventured into his childhood home, a place rich with memories. His quest for truth led him to his father's locked room, unveiling cryptic messages and enigmatic artefacts that hinted at a deeper truth that could alter everything.

As shadows deepened, mysteries unfolded, entangling them in a web of deceit and intrigue, casting uncertainty on the path ahead.
