GEORGIA
MY LIFE had been changed ever since I got the email about 2 years ago. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity. to pursue was I loved most on television. ever since I got my first star to dance with I loved it. I started the show at 18 and now im 20. I always usually get guys older than me. which is totally fine because they have families and are married. me on the other hand im not married and just have my immediate family that lives in florida. So here in california I live by myself with my dog, honey.
It's always scary and exciting to see who you get for your star. And your reaction is all on camera so it's a little nerve racking.
I got up this morning really excited. I have seen ya know the possible stars on my tiktok but i've learned not to trust them. It's always surprising how far off people can be on social media. This year people are saying the tennis player Ben Shelton. which is funny because I went to high school with him when I moved to gainesville, florida to experience public school.
I tutored him once so I don't think he would remember me. but I mean what are the odds of that happening. as I was driving in my car thats when the nerves really started kicking in.
I pulled into the studio seeing a bunch of camera crew. I walked in and got mic'd up.
"ok georgia, say something so we know we can hear you.", one of the camera men said while putting on headphones.
"ok hi im georgia hudson?", I questioned wondering if they could hear me.
"we are all good. go stand in the middle of the studio."
as I stood in the middle of the studio with shaky breaths. I watched the door open and a tall frame come in.
"hey. im ben."
oh. my. god.
as I stood there in shock he started coming toward me.
" hi, im georgia. i'm so glad im your partner this year!", I said trying to calm myself down.
"me too!" he said excitedly.
I laughed and was freaking out.
And you're probably asking 'why are you freaking out georgia'. You tutored him once in highschool. Maybe I tutored him once but after that I had the biggest crush on him.
Now he's standing in front of me and were stuck together for 11 weeks.
