"Delaney!"

I lift my head and see Todoroki and Midoiya in the doorway, I was currently wrapping my wrists getting ready for my fight with a man named Hitoshi Shinso.

"Hey." I stand from my seat walking over to the two men "What are you two doing here?"

"We wanted to wish you good luck!" Midoriya smiled brightly, well Todoroki nodded in agreement.

"Oh, well thank you." I purse my lips with a nod. "But you two should be getting ready for your own fight."

"Well, honestly, we wanted to warn you." Midoriya nodded, twitching nervously, "Your opponent, Shinso, he's from class 1B."

"I figured." I nodded before raising my eyebrow "Are you here to warn me about his quirk?"

"We don't know his quirk." Todoroki shook his head. "But he seems really scary!" Midoriya interrupted.

I chuckle softly before setting my hands on both boys shoulders, "Thanks boys, but I'm not some weak girl. Go get ready for your own opponents." I wink with a smile.

Midoriya and Todorki weren't wrong. Hitoshi Shinso does look scary.

As I stare across from the man in the arena I can't pick up exactly what his quirk is. I suppose it'll show in time, but I don't know if I exactly have time.

No, I didn't have time to find out his quirk.

I only had time to win.

Right as the horns blared through the stadium my hand rose, paralysising the man, Shinso.

I watched the man twitch, trying to break free of my restraint.

"I always wanted to be a hero!" The man shouted, making me falter, I didn't let him go, but I wasn't expecting him to say something like that.

"But I was never fit with a quirk like mine! But someone as blessed as you wouldn't understand, would you?" He screamed, I wondered why exactly he was trying so hard for me to respond. I stepped closer, getting to the middle of the "stage" my hand still reaching out, holding him still.

Why haven't they called for the win, yet? He was clearly unable to move.

"I don't care about you're fucking-" But as the words left my mouth my mind went into a haze.

My hand dropped releasing my oppoint. What the hell? I tried to lift my hand back up only for it to not move.

"Your lucky to be so blessed, Delaney Darnell." He smirked "Now walk out of bounds, like a good little girl." He taunted.

My feet began to move, and just like his command I passed him, I couldn't move– or Couldn't move according to my own control. Couldn't do anything but act as a puppet. A puppet for this man– brainwash.

Had I really given him such an easy win?

After all my work I game into him so easily.

I was walking closer, and closer to the boundary. C'mon Lain, get ahold of yourself. I pleaded.

You're nothing like them, Haru.

You're special,

Haru

Haru

Haru.

My hand flexed right as my foot lifted just an inch from crossing the line. Quickly I turned my body facing away from the boundary, letting out a gasp. Sweat coated my body, my hair pressing against my forehead from the sweat.
