Staying Over

Iris

What was into Blaze tonight? After Jeremiah had made that comment, it seemed to have made Blaze even more heated than he was before.
He's always been over protective of me, but why is he acting like this? I felt my arm get nudged once again. I looked over and saw Jason standing next to me.

"When did you get over here?" I asked. He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders.
"About a minute ago. Blaze usually doesn't fight that hard. I wonder what Jeremiah said to him to make him mad?" Jason asked.
I felt like I knew the reason, but was against saying anything until Alexandra stepped in and told him.
"Well you see Jeremiah had mentioned taking this hottie out right here and boy was Blaze mad" Alexandra said.
I rolled my eyes. I see Blaze walked off the ring. I followed after him, hearing Jason and Alexandra call my name.
"Blaze" I said. He looked at me and stopped letting me catch up to him. We both walked back to his locker room.
He sat down on the bench and took a towel, wiping his head.

"Hey, Jason said you usually don't fight that hard. Is everything okay?" I asked. He looked over at me like he wanted to tell me something.
  He shook his head.

"It's nothing Iris. I just let my temper get to me tonight" Blaze said. I looked at him confused. He never had a temper unless it came to me.
"Blaze you never had a temper unless it came to protecting me. What's going on?" I asked. He let out a sigh.
"It's complicated Iris, that's all I can tell you" Blaze said. I wanted to understand what was going on. He wasn't giving me much to work with.

"Well maybe if you explain it to me, I could understand it better" I said. He looked over at me with an uncertain look.
I didn't realize what was happening until his lips connected to mine. His arm came around my waist lifting me up into his lap. I leaned more into the kiss letting my arms wrap around his neck.
In the heat of the moment, I didn't realize what I was doing. This felt so right. His lips on mine and mine alone. I opened my eyes and pulled back. I climbed off of his lap and moved to the other side of the locker room.

"Oh my god. Oh my god. I kissed you back. Blaze you have a girlfriend" I said. I started pacing back and forth. Oh my god I can't believe I just did that. It felt so nice, but it was wrong for me to do that.
His head tilted a little bit as he smiled at me.

"Blaze this is not the time to be looking at me like that. I just kissed you back and-
"Iris I don't have a girlfriend" Blaze said as he cut me off. I looked at him shocked. Wait, but the girl from the gym.
I looked at him with even more confusion.

"But the girl from the gym. She called you baby? Now I know I'm hard of hearing some times, but I know I heard her say that" I said.
He got up and walked towards me, lifting up my chin to look up at him.

"If you would have let me explain it before you ran off in the gym you would know that was a ex of mine" Blaze said. I looked in his dark green eyes. The same ones I fell for a long time of ago.
"Okay, but that still doesn't explain why you kissed me and why you were so mad at Micheal and Jeremiah-

He leaned down and kissed me again, pulling me closer to him to where I couldn't run away this time. I melt into him, feeling the warmth come off his body.
He pulled away and leaned his forehead against mine.

"Can I explain to you over dinner at my place tonight?" Blaze asked. I nodded my head as he pulled away from me.
I couldn't explain the feelings that were building up inside of me. I wanted him to embrace me again. Kiss me again.
He got his stuff. He got his phone out and I felt my phone vibrate in my black cross body bag. I pulled it out and see the address for Blaze's place.
He came over to me once again.

"Come on. I'll walk you out" He said. I nodded my head as we both headed out of the arena. He walked me over to the car and opened the driver side door for me.
"I'll see you in a little bit?" He asked. I nodded my head giving into him. I knew this wasn't a good idea with the way I was feeling, but I needed to know what the reasoning was.
He shut my driver side door and headed off to his car. I saw him back out and headed towards his house.
