Katiana's POV
I locked eyes with Dorian it was electrical our eyes only meeting sent chills through me he was looking at me like I was unapproachable then he nodded and I appreciated that he kept his distance so I nodded back kind of thanking him. After our heated interaction this was for the best right now as his father was about to announce the Jobs and Legacies
*Glass clinking*
Ace- IT'S TIME AND I WOULD LIKE TO ASK ALL THE LEGACIES TO COME FORWARD AS I NAME CALL OFF THE VICTORS
I look at my mom one last time then take my place
Ace- 1
I black out as he calls off the names and people applaud
Ace- Sorcerer or Sorceress Supreme
I close my eyes as it all comes flashing back
Ace- KATIANA VEGA
The applause roars and I am brought back to life as the spotlight hits me and I walk up to him and shake his hand
Ace- Congratulations Kati
Katiana-Thank you so much
All of a sudden my grandmothers Grim-wore appears and I grab it and I feel the power I have just been given
I look at my mom who is teary eyed in my dads arms as he smiles at me then I look at Krystal who is also crying and screaming my name
Ace-AND NOW FOR THE ALPHA AND LUNA
Talia gets ready head held high I shake my head at the sight then I look at Dorian who's eyes are also on me
Ace- DORIAN KINGSLY ALPHA
Ace said it quite excited as expected it was his son and these were the moon goddesses choices not ours so they were set in stone
Ace- AND LUNA
he pauses looking at the name confused and in shock as Talia grows impatient and annoyed Dorian really didn't want to hear the name
Ace-KATIANA VEGA
The whole crowd gasps and then applauds
Talia screams what, Dorian is visibly shocked and I looked around before passing out

Few moments later in a different room
I wake up to the voices of my parents, best friend, Ashton, Ace, Clove and Dorian hovering over me
Krystal- She's awake
Kati- What happened?
K- Can you sit up? do you want some water?
Kati- No I'm fine (I breath out)
Then slowly look up
Kati- How?
They knew what I was talking about immediately
Clove- I think somehow the moon goddess knew it's her call no matter what
Kati- That doesn't make any sense I can't be both
Karla- Not necessarily
My mom looks at Dorians mom
Karla- Long ago the very second sorceress supreme had fallen in love with an alpha too but before he became alpha and then when he did she ended up being both Luna and sorceress because she was already one before the other so it fell in place
Clove- That's when our pack was at it's strongest... it's almost like fate
I sat there in silence and in disbelief
Ace- I must get back to the people and address it
Dorian's POV
Dorian-Everyone get back to the party
I gave them a look that said let her process and give us some alone time they left and I stood there unsure of wether I should talk
Kati- Dorian how did this happen?
She broke the suffocating silence thankfully
Dorian- I have no idea
Kati- But I think I do
I look at her unsure of what she means
Kati- I had a spell on me to keep feelings or my mate bond out of my head like a block but....
She paused
Kati- When we kissed you broke my block on it
She admits to the fact that we kissed and it made me happy for some reason but also she just indirectly told me
Kati- When your mate is unavailable the bond picks the second best option
I She gasps and I look at her again snapping out of my happiness
Kati- Omg Talia where is she
Dorian- Outside screaming and crying making a fool of herself
Kati - Oh no
Dorian- She wasn't my first mate Katiana you just said that no need to feel bad for her it was never her she just took it knowing the consequences
Kati- But I still do she really wanted this

Ace-What a night it's been people
Applause and conversation
Ace-The moon goddess works in her own ways
The rest of the ball went smoothly neither Dorian or Katiana showed face after the announcement even though everyone wanted to know and speak to them about how this whole thing would work but truly they had no idea
