Y/N'S POV

Stood up. He stood me up. My own boyfriend stood me up. On our 1 year anniversary of dating. Oh, where the fuck are you Mattheo?

He said he'll be here, he just needs to do something. Why would he even stood me up. He's not late, he's not even coming.

I waited 2 hours. "Do you want to order?" waitress gave me sympathetic smile probably  understanding situation.

"No, thank you, can I have a bill please?" I ask returning a smile. "Of course" she said going to the register.

I payed, put on my coat and left. I came here with texi and taking in that Mattheo didn't show up I'll go by foot.

Maybe he just forgot. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation for this. I hope there is.

I walk in the cold. My hands freezing, my cheaks bright red from cold. I can't wait to get back home.

I notice bright lights in front of me in the dark. I mean it was 8 pm. I hear the siren going off. It was police and ambulance.

I take a closer look due to my curiosity. There is black car in a ditch. My gaze lowers on the car plate and my heart stops immediately.

No, no, no, no, it's not possible NO. I rush to try to spot Mattheo but I am stopped by police officers.

"I'm sorry ma'am you can't go fruther" he says. "That is the car of my boyfriend, is he okay? Is-is everything okay?" I ask as tears leave my eyes.

His face expression goes from numb to pity. "I'm so sorry ma'am" he says sympathetically. "NO" I scream.

"NO PLEASE NO" I break down. In front of people but I couldn't care less. He was gone. That's why he didn't came, he got into crash.

"NO, PLEASE let me see him, please" I beg just to let me see him again. "He was taken by ambulance, chances that he survives are well... there aren't any" he says softly.

"Just please take me to him, I need to see him again" I say sobbing breaking down. "Please"

"Go into the car, HEY ROGERS COME OVER HERE" he says as he calls his partner. "Yes, sir?" she asks. "Take this women to hospital, the man in crash was her boyfriend" he says and she nods.

We go into the car as she drives to the hospital while I sob. Was there a way to stop this? He can't be gone, he promised to always be here for me, so where is he now.

"Im sorry that this happened to you, ma'am" she says, he eyes straight on the road. "Thank you, I just hope there is a chance he's okay, I can't lose him" I sniffle.

She hums in response before we got to he hospital. "Follow me ma'am" she says as we walk in the hospital.

"Here to see a patient" she says to staff. "Name and relationship to patient" the doctor asks.

"Mattheo Riddle, this is his girlfriend and I am just a police officer working on the case" she says as doctors tense up.

"I'm so sorry to inform you ma'am but he didn't make it, I'm sorry for your loss" he says as I drop.

My eyes et blurry and all the noise from my surroundings became dead silent. I can't hear or see a thing.

"Can I please see him" I ask as my heart races. "You may but I wouldn't recommend that in this condition" they say.

"I don't care just take me to him" I sob as they look at each other and nod. The police officer offers her hand and I take it.

They lead me to a room and I see him. "I'll leave you now" she says exiting.

He doesn't look like himself. His usually tan cheaks are now pale as ghost. I cry as this sight of him breaks me.

I place my hand on his cheaks but remove it away because of the coldness. His body was colder then the pack of ice.

"Please Mattheo don't leave me, please, you promised you won't leave me" I say as I sob and lay my head on his chest.

"You promised" I say lifting my head to look at him. He has the stupid smile plastered on his face. He looks so happy.

My heart breaks more and more by every second I look at him. I ty to wipe my tears but only more go out.

There is a knock on the door. "Come in" I say sniffling. "Sorry to interrupt" the police officer says walking in.

I look at her name badge. Her name is Jessica. "It's okay" I say holding Mattheo's hand in mine.

I needed to hold him. I needed him to hold me. "Did you need something" I ask trying to smile but it doesn't reach my eyes.

"Uhm, yeah, doctors find his phone and this on him and it's yours now, I'll leave you alone so you can open it yourself" she says exiting after handing me a little box and his phone.

I take the little box and prepare myself to open it. "Oh, Mattheo what is this?" I ask his hand in mine knowing he won't respond.

I sigh before opening it. My heart shatter into million pieces smaller then the diamond ring in the box and note 'Will you marry me' ingraved on the box.

I sob even more. "Mattheo, please don't do this to me, I'll marry you, I'll do anything just please stay with me" I sob holding onto him.

"Please" I whisper as my eyes close on his chest. "Please don't leave me like this"
