"I can come with you, you know", asami suggested to the avatar. "No, its fine, just give me a few weeks and I'll be back", korra replied. "I've never had a pen pal before! Here, here's the first letter... spoiler, pabu and I already miss you" , bolin said to Korra.

After they talked about korra's departure, they embraced one final time, and korra departed on a boat to the south.

- time skip to when korra left the south alone -

As Korra voyages towards Republic City, she noticed her.... that.. awful figure.. the avatar steers away in another direction.

- asamis pov -

I wait at the docks on air temple island for korra. I'm excited to see her since it's been a few years. The airbenders are there as well, waiting to greet korra.

"Look, a boat! It's korra!", ikki exclaims. The boat comes closer and closer until it finally stops. And out of the boat came, tonraq, senna, naga and kya. No sign of korra. As the airbenders and I greet them, I asked ; "Where's korra?"
"She isn't with you? She left the south Pole six months ago. She sent us letters", tonraq replies. Everyone looks taken aback.

- korras pov -
I wake up from that awful nightmare. It was fucking zaheer again.
"Morning' twinkle toes", toph groans as she stirs a pot of soup. "Morning", i reply.

I walked over to eat the soup she made. "Toph, can you please get the fucking metal out of me? I can not take this anymore", I ask.
"Well, everytime I try, you always flinch or just not let me!", Toph replies all grumpy. Jeez, why did I go here? I groan as I rest my head on the rock table.

Back at air temple island, tenzin decides to have a search team looking for korra. "Ready to go, kids?", tenzin asked. But suddenly, asami pops up. "One room for more..?"
"Seriously? Another girl?", meelo complained. "Shut it meelo", jinora replied.
"Of course you can come with us!", jinora pats on the free space on her bison. Asami smiles and hops on.

The first places that they searched were a town, an island, and even more towns. But still, no sign of korra.

The team was in the forest, jinora was meditating, ikki just watched the river running as light shone through the trees, meelo off probably doing nonsense and asami sitting next to ikki.

"I'm worried", asami said.
"Oh, why?"
"I'm worrying about korra. What if we never find her? What if i never see her? What if-", asami ranted but got cut off by ikki; "asami, we'll find her" the airbender said, holding asamis hand for reassurance. "Thanks", asami smiled warmly.

Ikki noticed something.... wait... was that their food? The young airbender immediately stood up. "THATS OUR FOOD", she called out. Ikki ran up to meelo, who just walked over proudly.
"Are you kidding me, meelo???", Ikki said in rage.
"What? We're in the wild! We need to hunt!"
"We're vegeterians! We don't hunt!", ikki rans off, deep in the woods.

After a few moments, meelo decided to pluck some berries. But when he came back, he was puking all over. "Meelo, are you all right?", asami came closer. "Yup! Amazing! These berries are just so delicious!", meelo lied as he tried not to puke. "Hold on, I'll get some water. Wait.. Where's ikki?", the non bender questioned. "Who?", the airbender boy asked.
"Meelo.. did you.. do something?"
"It wasnt only my fault!"
"Oh jeez..", asami groaned.

The team searched for ikki until they found chopped off trees and a tiny house. They broke in and found ikki tied to a chair. In a reflex, they attacked the earthbenders that held ikki hostage. "Seriously guys? They were so nice!", ikki said. "Well those guys kidnapped you", jinora answered. "Because of them, I have an idea of where korra is!", ikki exclaimed as the teams faces brighten up.
"Korra is over... here!", ikki pointed to a swamp on the map.

Toph took korra to the middle of the swamp.
"Woah.. this is amazing", korra notified.
"This tree's roots are so long that they connect every tree in this swamp. The problem is, you've been disconnected for so long. Disconnected from the people that love you. Disconnected from yourself.", toph said.

Korra walked closer to the tree and placed her hand on the tree. A yellow light shone a line to the search team. "I saw them!", korra said excitedly. "Jinora, ikki, meelo and asami!"
"Hopefully they're here to take you"

A bison approached korra and toph, it lands on the tree as the 3 airbenders run to korra and immediately embrace here. "Korra!", the three called out as the avatar smiles.

When the three airbenders let go, korra caught an asamis gaze and ran to asami to hug her. Asami hugs her back. After a few moments, Korra finally lets go.
"I've missed you guys!", korra announced. Toph coughed loudly. "Oh sorry, this is meelo, jinora, ikki and asami", korra said.

"Your grandfather was really annoying", toph notified. "Wait.. cranky, grumpy and blind? You must be toph!", meelo exclaimed. "I like this kid" , the earthbender said.

Asami gazed at korra. She looks amazing with her short hair. The engineer thought. "Love the hair, korra", asami compliments. Korras cheeks turned slightly red. "Thanks"
"Korra, you have to stop kuvira. She is taking zaofu!", jinora exclaimed."we better go then", korra answered.
