           Perhaps Apollo let him fall.

Perhaps he kisses Icarus' wings with sunsoaked lips

and burn him into legend

so that he may hold him forever

in a kinder world.

ALEXANDER BILLARD, as he believed, was meant to be human, not a half-blood.

Before reaching fourteen, a harpy ruthlessly attacked him, leaving a haunting mark on his psyche during his walk home from school.

After what felt like an endless marathon through alleyways, dense forests, and desolate lots, he finally managed to elude the relentless pursuit of the bird-like beast, drained both physically and emotionally.

Alex found salvation in a man of color with hooves resembling a goat, who, claiming to be a guide, appeared after just a few harrowing hours camped out in an old abandoned automobile. With a profound sense of relief, he was led across New York to what the man called the 'Home for the Lost,' among other things.

Alexander adamantly rejected the idea.

Even after spending two years in the camp, the boy remained unpersuaded. Despite the comfort and familiarity, he soon realized that what he truly desired eluded him, feeling trapped like a prisoner within the confines of the camp. Tyler yearned for freedom, sensing a profound entrapment despite the apparent ease and homeliness.

His longing was for independence, to carve out a life uniquely his own.
