the group sat in an empty in n out parking lot. it was around 3 am so nobody was around

mary stevie and forthgrade sat in rays car with the doors open well ruben and ray was standing outside the car, fuckshit sitting on his board. 

ruben leaned on the car door as he shared a blunt with stevie and fuckshit. mary and forthgrade was having their own conversation about movies. well ray and fuckshit argued about something dumb. that they would forget about in the morning

stevie wasn't paying attention to what ruben was yapping about. he was looking at mary. but he was snapped out of his zone when fuckshit yelled mary's name making them both turn their heads to look at him"hey did stevie share that hundred bucks with you?"he asked laughing. mary's brows furrowed as she looked at stevie"what does that mean?"she asked as the group went silent. i guess they all had a discussion about mary not knowing that fuckshit wasn't aware of.

"nothing don't worry about it..i'll tell you later i promise."stevie mumbled"no no tell me now andre what does that mean?"she asked.
"ohhhh shitttt she don't know?"fuckshit pointed at her as he looked at stevie and ruben"andre tell me, now"mary demanded "mary it's a stupid inside joke don't worry about it"stevie mumbled "sunburn why haven't you told her? that's fucked up"ray shook his head"can someone PLEASE explain to me what's going on?"mary begged forthgrade gave in.

"ruben and stevie made a bet. like before you two was dating. that he couldn't take you v card. they betted 100 dollars. stevie doesn't even like you."forthgrade said as he looked at her with worry and pity in his eyes."is that true?"mary asked turning her head to look at stevie but not making eye contact.

"yes but it wa-" "aiden walk me home...please"mary asked "cmon"aiden said as he climbed out of the car mary following. it wasn't a far walk. it felt like it was.. but it wasn't

"why didn't anyone tell me?"mary bawled as aiden put his arm over her shoulder as he hugged her side"we thought you knew"he whispered"stevie said he told you"

"well he didn't. y'know i really thought he was the one."mary chuckled "i cant believe how stupid i was." she looked down at the concrete below her."your not stupid mary..if anyone is stupid it's stevie. it was childish of him to do that."he comforted her. mary wiped her tears as she leaned into aiden"do you want my jacket?"he asked she said no and smiled.
