Nightmare studies Killer's reaction carefully, not being able to depend on the emotions he's radiating because they are so jumbled. Nightmare watches as Killer's face contorts from being confused to being uncomfortable. He shifts away slightly before looking at another part of the room.
"Well, I'm happy you know-" He says awkwardly, his mind obviously racing from the revelations he's just been given. "So- The book is magic?"

Killer looks towards Nightmare; it's hard for him to tell where Killer is looking exactly, because of his lack of eye-lights. "In a way yes. I wouldn't quite describe it as magic though. Not in the sense that you know it." Nightmare explains. He knows Killer can't comprehend his explanation if he were to give it. A different type of magic in total; one of destiny and spirit.

Nightmare moves the book and sets it farther down on the bed before turning his whole body to face Killer. "The book could go on forever. New volumes could be made" Nightmare starts, trying to give the confused skeleton some type of understandable information to hold on to, "But it could also end. It's just a depiction of my thoughts and experiences."

Killer nods before letting out a sigh and falling back to lay down. "Well, I'm happy I found it before Dream did- Then he would know all your plans." Killer says, looking towards the ceiling.

*Finally- he's using a brain cell.* Nightmare jokes with himself before relaxing slightly. With the change of subject, he knows Killer doesn't want to talk about emotions.

"Likewise." Nightmare says, looking down at Killer. "That might have proved the end to my advances if that was the case-"

"Mhm-" Killer responds before closing his sockets. After a moment of slightly, uncomfortable silence, Killer continues sleepily, "You know? Your bed is a lot nicer than mine. Comfy."

Nightmare watches quietly as the other skeleton moves to put his arms behind his head, using them to add to his comfort. He smirks at the sight before him, "Yes. Don't fall into slumber, I do not plan on sharing my space for much longer." He says before nudging him slightly with his hand.

Killer's face turns into a pout as he peeks a socket open to look at Nightmare. "C'mon don't be a greedy ruler!" He whines in a playful tone.

"Don't you know who I am?" Nightmare asks with a ominous chuckle.

"Of course!" Killer barks back as he looks up at Nightmare, both sockets open and a teasing smirk on his face, "You're Nightmare. THE GOD OF NEGATIVITY!" He laughs a bit before continuing, "a monster who can't live without his precious bed-"

Nightmare, pretending to be offended, puts his hand to his sternum. "How dare you infer such a thing!" He says with a gasp, "I am not attached to such materialistic objects like you inferior beings."

Nightmare watches Killer carefully as he pays the mattress beside him. "Then stop trying to kick me out and lay down." He says before yawning, "I'm tired."

Killer says it so smoothly, yet Nightmare pics up on the slight spike in anxiety coming off of him as he suggests the action. It, however, is not accompanied by regret; rather, it is accompanied by excitement. This fact causes Nightmare to actually consider the proposal.

"You have your own bed. Why must I share mine with a soul such as yours?" Nightmare asks as he leans over to close the book Killer brought him completely.

Killer thinks with a hum as he closes his sockets once again, "Because if you didn't like the idea, you would have picked me up by my ankle and thrown me out already."

Nightmare's socket widens as he's faced with an unarguable fact. *I do want his company-* He realizes as he pics the book up and sets it on his nightstand.

Quickly, he turns his skull to look back over at Killer. The skeleton in front of him looks at peace in his presence, comfortable. That never happens. Dust and Horror have always been tense while sharing a room with him, but Killer is half asleep without even being under the covers.

Killer pats the mattress again as he speaks softly, "C'mon Boss. You're tired too."

Nightmare's body seems to move on it's own after these words; laying down beside Killer, slowly as to not disturb his comfort. He continues to face him, slightly in shock at the position he's in at the moment. Nonetheless, he manages to find his voice to continue to deny Killer's observations. "No, I'm not." He says as his tentacles come to rest around himself comfortably, "I'm much more resilient in this situation than you, for I am made for the night."

"Mhmm-" Killer responds tiredly, "Is that why I often find you drinking 6 cups of coffee in the library at sun down?"

Nightmare glares at the sleeping form beside him. At this point he knows he can't argue with him, but it won't stop him from trying, "You dare question my judgement?" He asks with no malice present in his voice.

Killer groans as he moves to stretch a bit, rolling over to face Nightmare straight on. He smoothly reaches up to the head of the bed and brings a pillow down to lay on. With his sockets still closed, he responds cockily, "Mmmm just a bit~ Now, if you said you were built for the 'cave life' I would agree with your statement."

"EXCUSE YOU?" Nightmare exclaims quietly, being careful not to jar Killer from his comfort too much. "THE CAVE LIFE?"

Nightmare can't help but smirk at the soft chuckle that emanates from Killer before he speaks, "Yeah- like a bear or sum shit. Good night vision; awake during the day." Killer curls up and nuzzles the pillow, the liquid hate from his eyes dripping all over it, "And don't tell me they can be nocturnal, they just fuck up there sleep schedule to hide from stuff.....like you hide from us."

Killer yawns again before frowning, "Now, quite talking and either go to sleep, or help me get under the covers-"

Nightmare grumbles under his breath about the bed being his before inevitably sitting up to pull his covers down enough for Killer to climb it. "It would help if you would get up too you know-"

Killer opens his eyes and shakes his head, "Naw, I'm the guest. Plus, I'm the tired one, thought you were supposed to be awake and have energy." He laughs when Nightmare growls angrily at his remark. Nonetheless, he gets a spot open for Killer.

He watches as Killer opens his sockets longe enough to shimmy under the covers, quickly closing them again once he's comfortable. "Is that all you want?" Nightmare asks, a mixture of annoyance and amusement in his voice.

"Mmmm almost~" Killer responds almost playfully, "Come sleep."

Nightmare sighs and lays back down beside Killer, he doesn't need blankets like the other so he just grabs a pillow instead. "You are a nuisance." He says as he gets comfortable once again.

"Yeah, I know-" Killer says, voice muffled by the pillow he's cuddled into, "But so are you, therefore.....Go. To. Sleep."

Nightmare doesn't sleep right away; though, he can't deny he is incredibly tired. Instead, he stays quiet and tunes into Killer's emotions as the other skeleton falls asleep, quietly relaxing as he drifts off. He's happy, content, at peace. All emotions that Nightmare despises, and yet he finds himself okay with it. He feels accomplished almost at the idea that he's the one that's caused such emotions.

Nightmare sighs quietly after a few moments of this. He doesn't try to fight sleep as his socket gets heavy, instead he embraces it. *He better not find a way to tease me about this tomorrow.* He thinks before finally drifting off.
