Chapter two

                       THE ALIFEROUS

The large golden gates opened . The lane to court is covered with myrtle and rose petals and a slight vision of the red carpet peeking from the flower's crowd .

I stepped out of the chariot and an esense of lavender lingering in the air reached my nose. They spread pleasure across my bloodstream .

I hastened and fixed my tunic and cape and walked through the endless way surrounded with clouds . Even though it feels like walking towards eternal , it is just an illusion,  the pave is covered with magic spells of enchantresses .

I entered the court . A sudden sight of so many immortals makes me a little anxious .
I saw my father greeting everyone and with him Phobes and Diomes . I went to them in an elegant manner and bowed down . Surprisingly The God Of War greeted me with a warm embrace and an authentic smile.

" Long time no see , son " he said .

" Nothing father , just busy in work, now a days , I even barely get to play lyre " I said being comfortable.

He pat my shoulders , probably out of proudness ? I guess , like complimenting my hard works .

Phobes was going to pet my hair but I moved away passing an awkward smile because I don't want anyone to ruin my hair tonight .

" Have you seen mother ? " I asked all of a sudden at a remembrance of talking to her about Darren.

Father glanced at me , clear sign of irritation . Knowing his lover is now his brother's wife .

" Hera told me that she will get her ready . "
He told , his tone stone cold . All the warmness he showed me a few minutes ago changed in just fraction of seconds. Just like warmness of a sun froze in the ice age .

I bowed down again in the acceptance of the answer and a goodbye for now , it will be worse if I piss him off .

" All gods and goddesses , great heros and angels and chérubins , The kings and queens of gods , Zeus and Hera are approaching now . We all hail to our king and queen . " The guard said so loudly but the silence of the hall felt much louder .

We all stood in an organised manner and bowed down all together saying " We all hail to our kings and queens ". The voices are still ringing in my ears .

" We all gathered at these great supper , to welcome my brother Hades and my daughter Persephone's greatest arrivals after four months in the underworld. The goddess of vegetation , Demeter requested me host a feast on our daughter's coming . Appaulse for them and cherish your night "
Zeus said helding his golden curved cup high flourishing with rhenish wine .

Appaulse broke throughout the hall . The choirs of angels started singing songs and playing instruments . The rhythm made everyone's step turn into a dance . All were circling and clapping on rhythm and toes touching the ground with beats .

Zeus and Hera were sitting on the throne ,
I saw Hades and Persephone were in the middle surrounded by angels , dancing hand in hand . A sort of golden hair flashed infront of me , I turned my attention to see Achilles and Patroclus smiling at each other and their face full of love as they move with the circle of the crowd .

" Hey Eros , come join us " someone called but it took me no time to figure out it was Ganymede .

He grabbed my arms as soon as he reached me , I willing went with the flow and couldn't control my steps . I smiled ear to ear , this is why I love feasts , they always make me smile . I ended up dancing with some angels and chérubins .

The dance ended. All look pale with tiredness but enjoyment and laughter flickering can be seen in their faces .

We reached the dine . Ganymede and I sat side by side bursting into laughters and gossips . By our side sat Paris and Aeneas showing off their elegancy and royalty . But I was least bothered about it . I didn't even notice Apollo and Daphne , today's day is going great . Zagrus and Melinoë sat opposite to us , even though this siblings are the son and daughter of the ruler of the underworld , they are kind and friendly to me .

They smiled and dig in their food .

I glanced at Ganymede and saw him pouring wine in my cup .

" So are you going to stay after the dine "
He asked

" I don't want to , but I have to talk about some issues with my mother . " I answered tiredly , bringing up the matter again.

" Issues ? " He asked

" Well....... there's a man on earth , Darren Orlando Wilson . He is constantly breaking hearts of the humans. I'm tired of it . He must stop it now or it will counted as numerous sins and he will be pushed in down in hell . And also as per the rules , he will never have reincarnation . "
I explained it all .
He nodded , understanding my problems.

" What are you gonna do now ? " being anxious he asked.

" I have to send an angel but it has to be approved by Zeus himself and my mother "
I responded .

" Should I wait for you ? " He asked .

" Its okay , I can handle it . "
saying this we started eating .

I went to meet my mother who was standing with Athena and clinking drinks with her . I approached the great ladies with a smile on my face .

" Excuse me , goddess Athena and mother ".
The introduction was awkward because I couldn't find words to call them like I can't even tell your royal highness.

" Yes , young lad ? Do you need anything ? "
The gold flecks in Athena's eyes are like burning stars but the tranquility placed in her accord are heavenly.

" May I talk to my mother for a while ? we didn't see each other for so long . " I again asked sounding more and more wired .

" Then I must part then , have your quality time , I'll talk to you later Aphrodite " . She turned and made her way to somewhere else.

" Didn't see eachother for long , huh ? " mother said and smirk pointed sharp at the corner of her lips.

" Um...... No . Its actually something that I need to deal with , so erm... needed to talk it out with you in the first place . " I said , hesitation neat in my tone.

" Its okay Eros , you can tell me whatever you want , I'll help you by any means but its has to be in my reach " she said.

I took a deep breath and start .

" There's a mortal named Darren Orlando Wilson , he made his name on the top of the list of the Heartbreakers for several months . His body count is higher than the money he incomes and if this continues he will nither get reincarnation or will be allowed to be in heaven . Apart from it stealing others sainity also bars them to come here. We have to take steps immediately . "

" Hm , Eros , I didn't expected you to come here and speak all nonsense like this , this a very very small matter , every year most of the dead mortals are dragged down to hell , there are petite amount of souls who come and live with us , and you are worried about some man who just sleep around and increase their body count ? and I warn you don't you dare send anyone on earth or bother Zeus for it or he will cut you off from the job . "

Being fustrated she was about to walk away . But I stopped her and asked , " Then what should I do mother ? its tiring me already "

She turned , rage burning in her eyes scares me sometimes.

" I don't know , if you are so much worried about that Darren Orlando Wilson then go there by yourself . "

She walked away. I didn't had the guts to argue with her , what if she make make me fall in love with someone ugly ? Eww I am not up for it.

I have think it through , I'll go there by myself and I'll only inform Ganymede as no one ever bothered about my existence except him , I'll never let them know to .
