"Here you go Bbama, eat up." Jisung said as he ruffled his puppy's fur. "You've been getting healthier, I'm glad." He sat down beside his one and only friend and took bite of an apple he found around.
"I'll get us something better to eat next time, I promise." The brunette said as he sat in the alleyway with his dog in his lap.
The small boy who was once kicked out by his own family at 11 was now 17 years of age. He had made the withered alleyway his home ever since the day he found it. His puppy, Bbama who had grown up with him, stayed by his side as well. They both lived in the trenches of the street, fighting to survive each day.
"Oh Bbama, I completely forgot to tell you. I'll be going job hunting tomorrow! Sadly you'll have to stay here, you can do that for me, right?" The brunette said with a smile as the fluff ball softly barked and curled up in his lap.
"You're such a good boy. I love you a lot, I hope you know that." Jisung said in a whisper as he threw the core of his finished apple away and hugged his pet.
"I'll get us out of here soon enough..." The brunettes voice come out wavering with several emotions as he hugged his dog and lied down onto the ground he called his bed. He had a long life ahead and yet he knew nothing about that life. All he was doing was trying his best to live without giving up his hope of one day finding the meaning to his life.
As quick as the sun set, the quicker it rose to begin the next day.
Jisung was getting ready to leave his alleyway. He gave himself some prep talk and hugged his white fluffy dog goodbye. "I'll get some yummy food for you on my way back." and with that he got up and left.
Walking through the bustling city, he would always get weird looks and stares, every single time.
"Oh my goodness, look at his hand..."
"That poor boy is filled with bruises..."
"Why does he look like that?"
"Look at how dirty he is, does he even know what a shower is?"
"He looks crazy... let's get out of here."
There they were again, people always whispering about him whenever he would go out from his alleyway. It always happened, whether he went out to look for-or steal food or whenever he just went out for a walk.
Eventually, he stood in front of a building which he entered. Immediately, he got greeted by cleanliness and a nice scent that he would love to smell more.
The man at the front desk looked up from his computer screen and immediately scrunched up his face in grimace at the sight of Jisung but cleared his throat and greeted him. "Hello welcome, are you here looking for job options?"
Hello, good morning! Yes, I am here looking for some jobs." the brunette stated with a polite tone and smile.
"Alright, may I get your name, age, and date of brith." The male asked as he clicked some things around on his computer behind the desk.
With a nod he began, "My name is Han Jisung, age is 17, and my date of birth is September 15, 2000." he said as neatly as possible. Reality was, Jisung was super nervous and was scared if he might mess something up.
After some clicks on his computer the male looked up towards Jisung and eyed him up and down while the brunette stood there nervously, his hand clasped into each other together in front of him as he fiddled with his fingers. Without any human interaction for years, Jisung felt waves of anxiety rush through him.
"Well regarding... uh you and everything in general, there are very few working options for you. Though the best option that has appeared up is the job as a janitor at JYP University." he said while looking at the young boy.
"Ah yes that would be great!" Jisung said with a big oblivious smile.
"Alright, do you have any working experience or have any norm with cleaning?
"Actually I don't have working experience however I do have experience with cleaning such as sweeping and mopping the floors, dusting, cleaning the bathrooms, and more." Jisung said, hoping he had stated the right thing.
"Well then it looks fine, please sign these papers here. You can start tomorrow. Your pay will be $30 an hour." the male said as he slid a paper towards Jisung along with a pen.
The brunette nodded and began signing the paper. He felt extremely grateful that he could land a job this quick.
It couldn't be that bad right?
