Starting in P13 after an underwhelming qualifying, Mads had immediately managed to overtake little Lando Norris and take P12.
📻 "Good start Horner! P1 next?"
a muffled giggled could be heard on the other end "thanks annie!"
⊹ ࣪KAT'S POV<𝟑
For the race Kat decided she would stay in George's room as she was too small and fragile to stand among crowds of people and therefore her view was a TV screen. As the race started she sulked at Russell's bad start because she secretly was rooting for him, convinced it was love at first sight.

📻 "you're currently P7 with Albon 1.5 behind"
"shit my tyres are giving out!"
📻 "it's too late to box you're going to have to go another lap"
"fuck i can't drive this—"
Suddenly, as mads attempted a sharp turn, her right tyres fell apart making her car almost collapse. As the metal collided with the track at high speed it sent sparks flying and mads no longer had control. Before long she was harshly bashed into the wall ahead leaving both the crowd and grid worried.
Albon being close behind was the first to alert the stewards "Was that Mads?!"
📻 "Yes. A safety car is on the way"
"Quick get her out! We need to stop the race."
📻 "Unfortunately, we can't stop the race. I'm sure she'll be okay"
"You don't understand! She's pregnant!"
🏁 — as news spread more & more drivers would forfeit their race..
📻 "Charles red flag."
"Who was it?"
📻 "Horner"
"WHAT?! This can't be.. oh my god is she okay?"
📻 "A safety car is on its way"
"I can't continue to race knowing she's pregnant"

"Who was that ahead that just crashed?"
📻 "Mads Horner."
"No... it looks terrible I'm going to stop and check if she and her baby is okay"
📻 "Lando the race is still continuing there is a safety car on the way for her"
"I don't care! I care more about her than this race"
🏁 — Soon enough all drivers had forfeited the race and were in a complete state of panic.
Meanwhile, Mads had been temporarily knocked unconscious. The first to reach her was Lando, who was immediately alarmed she wasn't responding to him.
"Mads! MADS! shit this is bad.." He started tearing up.
Soon George Russell and Alex Albon ran to the car, which a distraught Lando was staring helplessly at. He explained the situation to them and in any attempt at helping her they rushed to take her helmet off. As her tired face was revealed their hearts broke but before any more drivers could gather to the scene the safety car had arrived. Alex, Lando and George all sobbed as she was carried away in a stretcher.
⊹ ࣪KAT'S POV<𝟑
Kat's attention was suddenly misdirected from the beautiful 63 car when her girlfriend had a devastating crash. Worry and guilt flooded over her immediately and she sprinted out the room in a panicked attempt to try and be by her side.
From the Mercedes garage she could only run from the pit lane onto the track but her hope of reaching Mads was short lived when the pit crew began holding her back. Obviously, she was too weak to fight it.
"No! Let me go! That's my girlfriend in that car" she pouted cutely but the pit crew weren't letting her go, "I won't get ran over! I'll look both ways when I cross the track."
Apparently Lewis Hamilton had heard because his eyebrows raised as he had just reached the pit lanes.
"who let this crazy fan in the garage?" he thought to himself, "if she was Mads' girlfriend surely she'd be in the redbull garage"
"Girlfriend?" He asked.
"Y-yes.. but you look surprised - does she not mention me?" Kat whispered saddened.
"Well that and the fact that she's pregnant."
Kat's heart sunk. How could she not tell her? Who is the father? Was she cheating on her? A thousand questions filled her mind.
