Prologue

"And of course, there was Olympia.
Beautiful, little Olympia with her Bambi-eyes and erratic mind.
  She was this whirlwind of chaos and cigarettes, incredibly mysterious  and an open book all at once. With her it was always like:" Oh, I know  you inside and out" and the next moment, she'd do something completely  unexpected.
At first, honestly, I found her to be just as alluring as  the rest of the world did but eventually, eventually I grew fucking sick  of her.
She wasn't this otherworldly angel, this aloof creature  that everybody made her out to be, she was just as pretentious and  spoiled-rotten as the rest of them.
But I was the only one to see that.
  She had everyone wrapped around her pretty, little finger; the whole  world at her feet, really. And I mean, I get it, because how could  possibly you stay away from her when she was just so goddamn beautiful?
  Felix certainly couldn't, but then again, nobody could. She just had  this aura, this celestial energy that instantly pulled you in. Left you  in awe, fucking agape. It was as if she'd put a spell on everyone, and  only on me the effect eventually seemed to wear off.
I knew, that in the end, she was given all that beauty to compensate that ugly thing inside of her.
It was in her genes to wreak havoc; she just had this utter sense for destruction.
In the long run, I think, she really was the beginning of the end for Felix.
She caused his inevitable doom."
