Matthew

"Hi, my love!" Tabitha greets me cheerfully.

"How's your girl time with your friends going," I query. "I miss you."

"Aww, I miss you too, Matty-poo! Me and the girls are having a blast; we had brunch and went out to get my bridesmaids their dresses, including mine."

I smile at her mentioning that she found her dream dress for herself and her friends while I, on the other hand, need to assemble my groomsmen because our wedding is in three weeks. We need to get our marriage license along with finding the venues, recruiting an officiant as well as the vendors, and inviting our guests.

"I'm glad to hear that. I know you're going to look gorgeous in that white dress," I smile as I visualize Tabitha wearing a white dress with an A-Line skirt made of satin with the straps off her shoulders as well as the long white veil attached to the back of her head. She loves to wear dresses that have an off shoulder straps when we go out on our date nights.

"Matthew, are you still there?" Tabitha queries, bringing me out of my trance.

"Yeah, I'm here." I reply. "I was just thinking about you wearing your dream gown when you walk down the aisle on our wedding day."

"I'm looking at you wearing your tux that makes you perfectly handsome as ever." Tabitha sighs dreamily. "Daphne called me to discuss about the invitations for our rehearsal dinner tomorrow."

"She told me, too." I peer at the waves crashing the shore when I hear my name being called in the background. "I got to go, my brothers are calling me."

"Okay, I'll see you, Daphne, and my in-laws tomorrow."

"I love you."

"I love you too, Matty-poo. Bye!"

I hang up and turn around to face my four brothers; Jax, Aaron, Luka, and Brett cheering my name. "What's going on, you guys?" I greet each brother with a handshake and a hug. "Where's Mason and Kieran," I inquiry.

"Mason and Terri are at the Fun Depot while Jillana and Kieran are looking at venues for their big day. " Luka answers.

"Oh, yeah? When are they tying the knot?" I inquiry as I recall calling both Jillana and Kieran to congratulate them on their engagement.

"They're thinking about getting hitched in September of next year." Aaron replies.

"That's awesome," I smile. "What brings you guys here?"

"To hang out and catch up with our brother, that's what's up!" Jax exclaims, patting me on my back.

"Thanks, fellas." I acknowledge Jax is carrying a pack of Heineken. Is he serious right now? Who in their right mind drinks beer during the day? I guess I'm looking at the beer case a bit to long because I hear Jax guffawing.

"Chill, little bro. These have zero alcohol, so we're good." My brothers guffaw along as my shoulders slump and  a smile slowly creeps on my face. Thank you Lord, because I don't have time to get wasted while Tabitha and I are getting married in a few weeks as well as the fact that Tabitha doesn't want to see me looking shit faced. Aaron has already open our bottles and the five of us lead ourselves to the living room.

"Cheers to Matthew... for coming back home." Jax raises his bottle.

"To Matthew!" My brothers toasts in unison and we raise our bottles in the air while our bottles clink together before I lower mine to take a sip, only to be taken back by the taste of the drink. This drink tastes like fresh fruit that is mixed with some malty sweetness and this beer has that special crisp and refreshing touch to it as well. Looks like I'm trading in the regular Heineken beer with the non-alcoholic one.
