"That's all you need?" Rico asked as he pulled out some bags of coke.

"Nahhh, throw some X in there too." His customer said.

Rico nodded as he reached into his duffle for his pill bottles.

"I'm only giving you 4.. yo ass need to chill," Rico told him.

Once he quickly bagged everything up, the man slapped some money in his hand and left.

Rico shook his head, this wasn't something he necessarily liked to do. He was actually in school for Finance. He wanted to graduate and do something better with his life.

Fortunately, math and business were his strong suits. So, he was hoping to open a financial consulting firm.

But for now, he primarily made his money in the streets.

Deciding that he was finished for the day, Rico headed back to his house.

As he pulled into the apartment complex, he groaned seeing that his baby mama Tati was parked in one of his spots.

Soon after parking, Tati came up to his window.

"Hey bae!" She smiled as he rolled it down.

"Wassup?"

"Where you been at? I been out here all day.." she told him.

That was one thing Rico couldn't stand about her. She acted like her life revolved around him. She had no other goal than to be his girl.

"I had class then I handled some business," he told her.

"Mmm," she sounded. "Can you let me into the house?"

"Yea, but I'm prolly gon only be here for a lil bit."

He watched as she scrunched up her face, "Where you going?"

"Imma change, then head by my pops." He said.

"Why can't I just stay when you leave?" She pouted.

He shook his head, "Nah.. not today."

Although they had a daughter, something in him couldn't fully trust Tati. It wasn't necessarily anything she'd done, so maybe it was just past trauma that caused him to be distrustful.

"Do you need me to give you some head before you leave?" She asked.

He shook his head, "I'm good, Tati.."

She frowned but nodded.

"How's yo real estate classes going?" He asked.

She shrugged, "I stopped going."

This caused Rico to scrunch up his face, he had paid good money for her to take the classes then take the test.

He wanted her to be better for their child.
