Sirius Black

Sirius stood at the Potions table he was sharing with Remus, James and Peter, each at their own cauldrons, Professor Slugghorn going between all the students complementing those he observed were doing well and paying closer attention to those that were and those who came from prominent families, Sirius was annoyed by this because he was ticking both boxes, but he had a mission to do here, James and himself had discussed the perfect way of getting back at Snape for treating Remus poorly, even though Remus had told them he really didn't care, Sirius cared, Remus was the nicest of them and he didn't deserve to be picked on for doing nothing, but being friendly with the wrong redhead. Slughorn finally went to someone who wasn't at their table or at Snape's, Sirius reached into his pocket and tossed a small dead insect to James who caught it as Remus frowned at them Peter walked past Snape coming back from the ingredients cupboard, Peter's job to distract Snape long enough for James to throw the bug with pinpoint accuracy into Snape cauldron, just right as Peter's stumble into the table of ingredients covered the plop sound that was made. Peter scampered over to them grinning when he reached his cauldron, As Remus looked between them all and shook his head and then went back to his cauldron until a fizzing sound came from Severus's cauldron he looked into it confused and then a geyser of foam shot up out of the cauldron into his face covering his clothes and table and floor in seconds as the others at his table stepped back or tried to protect their own cauldrons from the same fate as Snape began laughing hysterically falling to the floor.

"What kind of bug was that?" Remus asked climbing up onto a stool as the foam covered the floor because it just kept coming foamy bubbles spreading as the other three at the table followed Remus's example and climbed on their stools.

"A Spittle Bug," Sirius informed grinning and Remus grinned back amusedly.

"Calm down, Mr Snape, I hope you know you'll be cleaning this up in detention, young man," Slugghorn informed the boy still laughing on the floor

"But, Professor!" Snape tried, but Slugghorn raised a hand shaking his head.

"As for the rest of you finish your Alihotsy Draught." their professor ordered.

"You mixed a foaming beatle with a perfectly made laughing potion," Remus whispered grinning at them.

"He shouldn't have messed with one of us." James grinned back.

"It's a hilarious prank, even Snape gets a laugh out of it." Sirius grins with them.

Sirius walked between James and Remus, Peter on James's other side as they laughed walking down the wall.

"You know I've been thinking," Sirius informed then putting his hands in his pockets.

"A dangerous pastime." Remus mocked.

"For everyone else." James agreed.

"Well, we're gods right?" Sirius stated and Remus and Peter both snorted looking at each other.

"Indeed we are," James replied looking at both Remus and Peter questioningly.

"But, no one knows it," Sirius added.

"We've only been here a short time, the people will catch on," James assured patting his shoulder sympathetically.

"How about we help them?" Sirius offered.

"What did you have in mind?" James questioned grinning.

"Something big, don't know what yet, but I have a date, how about we wish Hogwarts a Happy Halloween." Sirius grinned.

"I like your thinking, my friend and I would like to raise, that if we want to greet the whole school what better place than the feast." James slung an arm over Sirius's shoulders.

"Seconded, well, we've both had ideas, Peter, Remus?" Sirius suggested and Peter looked trapped, but Remus looked thoughtful.

"You remember what I said about the protective barrier that prevents it from raining in the Great Hall?" Remus suggested.

"Well, let's have a parade where the rain is intentional." Sirius agreed.

"I know it was you." the four of them stopped turning on Snape who was dripping in the halls still partially covered in foam, but most of his handing turned to liquid and soaked his uniform.

"What was us, Snivillus?" Sirius questioned covered in soapy spittle juice the new nickname rather suited him, but the laughs around them seemed to set Snape off and he pulled his wand, before he could react.

"Flipendo!" Snape shouted Sirius was thrown back down the hall groaning as the Air was knocked out of his lungs on impact.

"Langlock!" James shouted in return and Snape's tongue was glued to the roof of his mouth as Remus and Peter ran over to Sirius. James followed slowly when he was sure Snape couldn't retaliate with his tongue glued.

"You right, Mate?" James worried and Siiurs raised a thumb still trying to catch his breath as Remus helped him sit up then touched the back of his head as James turned back a Snape looking pissed.

"You're bleeding," Remus informed touching the back of his head which had hurt when he had impacted.

"I'm all good," Sirius slurred leaning into Remus's chest as his head spun, Remus only seemed more worried.

"James, leave him, we need to get Sirius to the hospital wing," Remus informed, James came back to his side pulling his arm around his shoulder and his other around Remus as they both shepherded him to the hospital wing, unfortunately, Snape had come to along with McGonagall and Slughorn who both demanded to know what had happened, James had to explain as both other parties that were involved in the impromptu dual were incapable of cohesive speech.

"Detention, Mr Potter, despite the fact you were defending your friend, you still broke school rules by performing patiently dangerous magic in the halls between classes," McGonagall informed and James nodded.

"And I'd do it again." James glared over at Snape who still couldn't say anything and was waiting for Pomphrey to finish on Sirius, who was informed he had a concussion and a skull fracture which had been solved by Pomphrey rather quickly, with a few spells and potions, Sirius thanked the Madam who went to unspell Snape's tongue.

"You feeling better, mate?" James worried.

"Yeah, completely fine now, I mean I'd like to wash off the blood and shame, but other than that, yeah fine." Sirius joked and Remus put a hand on his shoulder.

"It wasn't a fair fight, you didn't know Snape would attack you like that, while you were unarmed," Remus assured and Sirius tried to smirk like he usually would, but it was hard to muster after almost being knocked unconscious in one shot and James having to step in a save him.

"Well, if Madam Lupin comes to my bedside whenever I get hurt, I'll have to do it more often." Sirius tried and Remus rolled his eyes, "You gonna give me a bubble bath?" Sirius teased.

"Yeah, he's fine," Remus replied standing from the bedside next to him offering him and hand and pulling Sirius to his feet.
