I Don't Know ~ Ch.3

The world around us seemed to slow down as Oikawa blocked me from leaving, I didn't even understand why. I gave them both what they wanted didn't I? My heart was aching just being around them but I put my arms back behind my back as I looked up at him confused.

"Can I help you with something else Oikawa-san?" I asked softly and he flinched looking at me hurt.

"Please don't call me that. Please stop acting like you don't know me" He pleaded with me as he reached for me but I retracted away from his touch quickly.

"I don't. I have no relationship with you so there is no reason for me to call you by your first name" I explained and his eyes glossed over but Iwaizumi grabbed my shoulder turning me around quickly so I looked up at him confused.

"Y/n stop" Iwaizumi warned but I tilted my head to the side slightly, confused.

"Stop what? I did what you both wanted, I left you guys alone. So now if you excuse me it's my best friends birthday and I want to spend today with her" I sighed turning towards Oikawa again just wanting him to move out of the way but a smile quickly grew on his face.

"Alright. You can go and be on your merry way if.. you give us your number again" Oikawa smiled brightly and I stiffened thinking about them being in my life again.

"Just for dinner or a movie or both but we missed you Y/n. I understand what I said hurt you but you have to let me explain someday" Oikawa pleaded with me and I glanced over my shoulder seeing Iwaizumi studying over me with regret and pain in his eyes.

"I never changed my number I just have to unblock you guys" I sighed softly and Oikawa's eyes lit up as he stepped out of the way. Leaving the locker room quickly letting my heels click against the ground as I made my way back to Nerumi. I gasped seeing she was being dragged out by security and before I could stop them Oikawa rush over to them.

"She's with us. She's alright I'd like for her to stay" Oikawa explained to the security who released her immediately.

"Y/n!" Nerumi sighed in relief as she ran over to me and I laughed as she hugged me.

"I'm alright. Let's go watch the game" I giggled ruffling her hair as she glared at both guys sticking her tongue out at them.

Nerumi may have been annoyed when she found out the people I had told her about all these years was here. Oikawa being on the team and Iwaizumi being someone on the sidelines I wasn't quite sure why or what for but she still loved the game. Argentina had won, I didn't even realize the game was over until Nerumi snapped in front of my face snapping me out of my trance.

"Huh? What?" I quickly looked at her and she sighed looking at me warily, unsure of how I was feeling.

"The game is over. Ready to go to dinner?" Nerumi smiled trying to cheer me up but I quickly nodded smiling at her as she linked her arm through mine. It was her birthday, I wasn't going to let her worry about me so I shoved my feelings down as we walked out of the giant gym and into the lobby.

"What would you like for dinner beautiful?" I giggled as her eyes lit up, ready to spend the rest of her day in a way that would get her mind off everything. I zoned out as she rambled on and on but the aching pain I had years ago was coming back after seeing them, I thought I had forgotten all of it but I guess my heart never did. As we walked out of the place I heard the familiar sounds of girls squealing, which is normal with any sport so I ignored it as I nodded along to Nerumi's voice.

"Y/N!" I heard someone shout and Nerumi growled looking behind me so I glanced behind me seeing Oikawa jogging up to me, ignoring the girls reaching for him or asking him for pictures and Iwaizumi walking behind him slowly.

"L/n-chan" Iwaizumi corrected him as he nudged his shoulder but I looked at Oikawa confused.

"Those girls want a picture with you Oikawa-san" I stated as I turned away to leave, expecting him to run back to them like he always used to do.

"So?" Oikawa asked which made me freeze as Nerumi glared up at them both as they stopped a few feet behind me.

"What do you idiots want?" Nerumi snapped but I squeezed her arm as I shook my head turning to face them both, laughing softly.

"Don't mind the guard dog, she won't bite" I smiled ruffling Nerumi's hair as she rolled her eyes.

"Are you really going to do it?" Oikawa asked so I looked up at them both as Nerumi looked at me confused.

"Do what?" Nerumi questioned and I sighed looking back at Nerumi since I couldn't look either of them in the eyes without wanting to fall apart.

"I told them I would unblock them so they would let me out of the locker room to come back to you" I explained softly and Nerumi's eyes widened as she looked back at them pissed.

"Excuse me?! You listen here-" Nerumi tried but I covered her mouth quickly shaking my head.

"Not now. It's fine" I assured her as she looked up at me conflicted and confused.

"I unblocked you both earlier. Now if you excuse us we have to go get dinner" I sighed as I removed my hand from Nerumi's mouth interlocking our fingers together before pulling her away lightly.

"Thank you L/n-chan" Iwaizumi smiled slightly but I turned my back to them both as I guided Nerumi away.

Nerumi quickly followed me back to my car and I felt the guys watching us as I climbed into my jet black car with Nerumi quickly climbing into the passenger side. Iwaizumi sighed looking away as Oikawa smiled turning to him but I peeled out of the parking lot before they could look back at us.

"What were you thinking?!" Nerumi scolded as she lightly smacked my arm and I sighed.

"I don't know.. I don't want to get close to them again but I guess my younger self wants closure in some way. Tooru, well Oikawa-san said he would explain what happened all those years ago and I want to give the broken part of my heart some answer instead of always wondering" I explained softly and Nerumi sighed shaking her head as she looked out the window.
